In Fiasco, Kentucky, there is one rule: never fall for a Foxx brother.

It isn’t just small-town lore or neighborhood gossip—I’ve witnessed what happens when the men in my family get too comfortable and fall. And maybe that’s history now, but the responsibility to lead our family business and maintain our standing as the world’s most sought-after Kentucky bourbon is on my shoulders. Few others know the lengths I’ll go to ensure the safety of my business and family. Blurring morals and manipulating rules are all just part of the game.

There’s only one problem: Hadley Finch. My brother’s best friend, Fiasco’s small-town princess, an honorary part of my family, the daughter of a deplorable businessman—she’s the woman I swore to stay away from in a bargain I never wanted to make, and now . . . she’s my wife.

Hadley’s wild attitude and smart mouth have always been impossible to ignore. She’s the only person who pushes every last shred of my resolve. When she peels off her clothes, shares her desires, and uses a nickname that will be my undoing, the chaos that led us here falls away.

There are a decade's worth of secrets and lies between us, but if we can both get what we want—I’ll keep Foxx Bourbon, and she can escape the fallout from her father’s sins—then none of that matters.

Before she was mine, I was fine protecting her from afar. It’s never been about a happy ending or being her hero, but now, I crave both. Call it the Foxx curse or penance for my sins, but when all of it explodes and the lives of those I love are threatened, there are only two things I have left to bargain with: bourbon and proof.

Forever a hopeful romantic, author Victoria Wilder writes contemporary romance with deliciously witty and wild characters. Her stories range from small-town swoon-worthy men to fiercely powerful families and lead characters who aren't afraid to ask for what they want.

She's an east coast girl, always chasing the next season and living it up with her husband, two kiddos, and dog, Linus. When she's not reading or writing, you'll find her training at a kickboxing class or finding an excuse to sink her feet in the sand at the beach.

She believes in the power of a great story. That words have the ability to change the trajectory of your life. And that a new pair of sneakers can be just as powerful as heels to put you in the right mood.

Bourbon & Proof was everything I hoped it would be, and more
Incredible tension. Intense connection. Biting humor and banter. Nail biting suspense and supreme sexiness. Victoria Wilder wrapped up the Bourbon Boys series with Ace and Hadley’s story in an amazing way. I thought this was absolutely fantastic. It left me breathless at times. This has been a series where every single addition is just as good, if not better than the last. The tension was incredible. The suspense riveting. The spice left me sweaty. There were some excellent callbacks to the other two books with plenty of room for this story to shine on its own. Those tiny snippets we caught of Ace and Hadley in the first two books left us all hoping and wondering if they would end up together and the journey to get there was perfection.

I can always count on Victoria Wilder to write an intriguing story with enough heat to the romance that it feels scorching. I had been looking forward to Hadley and Ace’s dynamic playing out throughout the series. Their back-and-forth banter and flirtation made the marriage of convenience trope shine.

The underlying storyline regarding Hadley being in danger was compelling. I appreciated that she always gave back as good as she got if not twofold. Daddy Ace had a few secrets that were both spicy and sweet.

I thought this one was a bit more plot driven than emotional. Enjoyable read.

I read an early copy from the author via Luna Literary. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

I absolutely loved this book! I was so excited to read Hadley and Ace finally. I’ve been waiting for this book since Bourbon & Lies. And omg this didn’t disappoint. Daddy Ace was everything I ever wanted and more. I loved the tension between these two and the love they have for each other. And I loved how Grizz got his happily ever after too!!

    come to an end?”

Ace and Hadley. I have been waiting for their book since the moment I met them. Their chemistry!!!! The banter!!! Everything about these two is complete fire!! Getting to see their history and then finally admitting their feelings to each other was chefs freaking kiss. And those chapters…IYKYK I was absolutely screaming it was like coming home!! While this book admittedly did feel a smidge long to me it was such a wonderful way to end a series!

Thank you for this eARC. I had very high hopes and expectations going into this book. I first read Bourbon & Lies back in the summer and loved Grant & Laney’s relationship. Then again with Lincoln & Faye which to this day are my FAV.
I was SO EXCITED for this. I wanted Ace to fold like a lawn chair.. I could not wait for the love story that was Ace & Hadley.

This book was Hadley’s book. Not Ace’s.. and I think that’s where my disappointment lies. The Foxx Bourbon brothers.. and this isn’t even Ace’s book.

Beginning, loved. I love that this marriage of convenience was between two adults, making a decision together and it wasn’t a trip to Vegas sort of situation. It flowed, wasn’t forced and was a great take to the trope. The yearning I felt at the beginning of this book was what I was craving.. and then around the 40% mark the pacing slowed down. A lot of business talk. A lot of intertwining new characters to set up a new series. I have no idea who this Ace character is. Who is this guy?! This is not the Ace from books 1 & 2. Sure he’s mysterious in the first two books but to forgo the future of Fiasco like he’s so adamant about in order to visit a sex club. Like WHY?! And then have Hadley write it in her journal felt like it was there for the sole purpose to say they visit a sex club in the book… The back half of this book felt forced.. and ALOT of forced spice which to me, didn’t flow right and didn’t feel like was in character.

This third book does not match the overall vibes of book 1 and 2. Maybe that’s the point? I don’t know. It was more mafia romance than the small town cowboy bourbon feel of the previous books. I understand they’re bourbon boys but did every book need bourbon play? It felt chaotic and I unfortunately did not love it like how I hoped I would. I’m left feeling a lot of high emotions when it should have tied off nicely considering it’s a third book in a now completed series. You don’t know what direction to look so much is happening and none of it made any sense to me.

I knew from the moment I read the first Foxx brother book that Ace and Hadley were going to do a number on my when they eventually get their book and boy did they ever.

I had so many moments where I was gripping my kindle wanting to crawl into their story and just be there as things were happening.

Their push and pull was scrumptious and I really appreciated that Hadley was the sure one in this story.

Beautiful end to one of my favourite series and I’m so sad that it’s over.

I am obsessed with the Bourbon Boys! I have been desperate for Ace and Hadley’s story since Bourbon & Lies and it was so good. They have such intense chemistry and I love their banter. Ace is usually such a grump but Hadley brings out a playfulness I love to see. This series has amazing found family and it was so nice to see all the couples (and Griz) together in this book. The Bourbon Boys series is so fun and I recommend it if you want spicy small town romances with morally grey men.

This was the perfect ending to a perfect series l've been waiting for Ace + Hadley's story since I picked up Bourbon & Lies last summer - and it did not disappoint
Ace and Hadley had top notch chemistry and witty banter - but it was the mutual pining from both sides that I loved.
Truly bittersweet, because I never wanted to leave Fiasco, Kentucky.

"𝑴𝒚 𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆... 𝑶𝒏. 𝒀𝒐𝒖."

We’re heading back to Fiasco, Kentucky one last time--where the atmosphere feels like a dream you never want to wake up from.

Saved for last is the oldest (and best) bourbon brother--Ace Foxx, "the ultimate fantasy". He’s the one who carries the weight of it all. The protector. The fixer. The man who’d cross any line to keep the people he loves safe.
Oh, and I’m also quite sure I have a girl crush on Hadley.

I didn’t think this series could surprise me that much after how amazing books 1 and 2 were… but this one? A whole different level. The hottest of them all 🔥
It was also deeply romantic, and emotionally so satisfying.

Ace and Hadley’s years of mutual pining made every moment between them electric--full of tension, tenderness, and fireworks.

The suspense kept me on edge, and the family dynamics in these books always hit me right in the heart. I love how these characters always show up for one another. They’ve become so real to me (my fictional found family)--and they’re not leaving my heart anytime soon.

If you haven’t started this series yet, now’s the time.
    I can’t recommend it enough.

Thank you so much to the author for the eARC—this was my most anticipated read of 2025💛

I'm just so not ok with 2025, why are such amazing series coming to an end? Nonetheless , Bourbon & Proof was just the last tie that was needed to wrap up this beautiful series.
Ace and Hadley these two talk about stoic and sass, you get Ace + Hadley. Victoria seriously has added some magic into this book that I just could not stop till I was done. So glad I read it and sad that it's over. I need more . Ace is mine ,let's just that squared away.

The spunk and sass that is all embodies Hadley is what I want. My girl crush is you Hadley. No filter, unabashed, funny and absolutely precious Hadley. You found your man alright Atticus Foxx, I can't say anything besides "MINE" .

Storylines come to head and close in this book , ones which we have seen unfold in the previous books. Man oh man, i was enthralled reading. There is so much to say about these two and it would be spoilery if I say so, so please pick up a copy for this wonderful book and read for yourself how amazing it is.

5 stars isn’t enough for this book!
I knew I was going to love Ace and Hadley’s story while reading Bourbon and Lies but OMG this exceeded all my expectations! This is the best book I read all year!
Victoria puts something in her books that sucks you into the story and makes it impossible to put it down.
I could have finished this book in one go but I needed to take my time and enjoy it for a few days because I was not and am still not ready to say goodbye to the Foxx men and their women.

The banter between Ace and Hadley is on fire and the tension between them has been there for years. and in the previous two books. I love Grant and Linc but Ace is now my favorite and Victoria definitely saved the best brother for last. There was so much more to him then we got to see of him in the first two books and the tension between him and Hadley was perfect. And Hadley, she is my girl crush,
I absolutely love her. Her witt, humor and just like Ace she is fiercly protective of the people she loves!

I've honestly delayed reading this book a little for the simple fact I was reading to say goodbye to The Bourbon Boys.
I knew that Hadley & Ace would leave the series on a high, and boy did they deliver. The previous books felt like a slow burn leading up to their story, and then it exploded in the most delicious way.
Hadley is one of my favorite FMCs. She's so sassy and such a brat to Ace that it has you kicking your feet with glee at how much she gets under his in literally every way. I loved seeing Ace slowly come undone and give in to those deep set feelings he's always had for Hadley.
Their story felt more special because it had built it's foundation for over a decade. They fought for each other in every way to the very end.
We couldn't have ended the series on a better high.
Can't wait for The Whiskey Girls series that's due to follow.
