I like how the set comes with the vase. The vase has a unique design. I like how it is open in the middle. You can put a small figure or something inside for display. It is a bit delicate though. The front and rear main face plates were not the most solid coming together.
I like how they created that angled piece at the front. They could have used more brackets or simple stacked blocks up, but they chose to add gold chamfer pieces to create the angle. It comes off really well
I also like how the graphics on the block have already been applied. They appear to be silkscreened onto the blocks. They should be more durable and accurate than self applied stickers.
The light mechanism is ingenious. A lot of these light up sets have a switch, and because it is often buried inside the set, is very hard to activate once everything is in place. This uses a dial motion to turn on the light, and pulls the dial to the outside of the vase. The dial is accessed from the back, and looks like it is part of the vase. It is easy to activate the light, and is brilliant.
The flowers are very pretty. There are lots of colours and types within the set. There is good variety in how they are constructed to keep it interesting. One minor complaint would be that there are three of those purple flowers. They look good, but sticking those tiny pieces onto the branch became tedious. It was also what took the most time in the set.
I like how all the plants are connected to the vase with a ball joint. It means each flower can be placed in any slot, and can be rotated or bent to any direction. It makes the set super flexible, allowing users to arrange the flowers freely.
Overall I am satisfied with this set. The blocks are good quality, and everything came together without any issues. The instructions were clear, and the building process was fun. The final product looks good.
