Product description

Detect treasure in extreme ground conditions--from saltwater beaches to highly mineralized inland sites--with the Bounty Hunter Tracker IV metal detector. The rugged Tracker IV is so efficient and user-friendly that it maintains sensitivity without requiring adjustments to the circuitry.

The Tracker IV's lightweight design is easy to maneuver. (). The display includes a target indicator meter that tells you when you’re nearing a target. ().

3 Detecting Modes

The Tracker IV--which runs on two 9-volt batteries--is designed for easy handling, with a lightweight, ergonomic build that's comfortable for hours on end. The detector boasts three modes controlled by a three-position toggle switch. Motion All-Metal mode offers a single tone that detects all types of metal. Discrimination mode, by contrast, automatically eliminates iron and other unwanted metals. And as the metal detecting coil nears a target, the Tracker IV's two-tone audio feedback aids in distinguishing between valuables and undesirable metals.

Detecting in Tough Conditions

Bounty Hunter equips all its metal detectors with a preset ground balance that neutralizes the response to mineral content in the ground. As a result, the Tracker IV can distinguish between iron in the ground and valuable metals. The detector further distinguishes good finds from bad with a disc/notch control, which eliminates unwanted metals from detection; a sensitivity control that reduces electromagnetic interference; and a target indicator meter that provides a visual cue of a nearing target. The Tracker IV even searches deeper than many other detectors thanks to the 8-inch open coil design, which searches to 8 inches for coin-size objects and 3 feet for larger objects. Plus, the coil and stem are waterproof, so you can submerge them when searching for treasure in damp grass or shallow water.

Operation

The Tracker IV is ideal for coin shooting; relic, jewelry, and cache hunting; and locating lost property markers or household items. To ensure privacy, the detector comes equipped with a ¼-inch headphone jack compatible with most headphones. Other features include a low battery indicator, an adjustable-height design, a padded armrest, and a detector stand. The Tracker IV carries a five-year limited warranty.
