It features an efficient EC Brushless motor for professional operation and smaller size. When planing at 0.04 In. depth in 1 In. hardwood, this compact powerhouse planer delivers up to 33 Ft. of planing per battery Amp hour (Ah).     Took a chance on this little guy. Once the battery is charged I can do about 30-40 passes to smooth out damaged wood, strip paint off old boards and it's so small and lightweight, it's a pleasure to use.

    There are tons of videos about how great this is, no doubt! I love mine but it has some design flaws such as:

    the dust collector system is not effective, as soon you tilt the device all collected dust will spill from the other side.

    No matter what you do the sawdust will get into the battery indicator, not sure if it goes beyond this point and if it’s a longer term issue.

    One more con as of writing the review: there are no spare blade available here in Canada.

    I’m totally impressed with this little planer.
    The GHO12V-08N planer came packaged well and arrived on time. Does not come with batteries or charger but I already own a few other 12v cordless tools from Bosch line and it fitted well in my toy box for site jobs.
    The planer came with 1 Allen key stored in the handle,1 spare blade stored in the base plate, a side chip diverter, 1 chip bag, 1 vacuum adapter.
    I found the vac adaptor most useful as no mess left behind to clean up after use. I also used the bag once but it’s small and will get clogged. The side discharge haven’t used yet.
    The planer it’s great for any job were tin passes are needed to be in control of the material you want to remove. On occasions I tried max setting for stock removal and had no issues. I didn’t have to use my power 3.1/4” planer since I got this one.
    I used it on windows and door casings to bring them flush to wall surface ready to install trims around them. Also, on some 3/4” hardwood floors to taper down the thickness for transition to tile.
    Some small issues, I found with the hand agronomics around the handle and the safety button where it didn’t fill natural in my hand but I can get used to it. Also, the little safety bumper at the bottom of the base plate were I have to fold it down when I do a pass. I think I will remove it when I have time, for now it’s ok. I was not able to find spare blades on the market or on 鶹, yet witch may be an issue because I’m running already on the spare blade and I’m not planning on resharpening them because it’s time consuming.
    Overall, great tool to have and very useful compared to other big brother that I have from Bosch.

    Me encanta su tamaño y portabilidad...Bosch innovando como nos tiene acostumbrados...
    Solo viene la herramienta con un par de cuchillas y así se anuncia, no se por que la gente se queja que no trae cargador ni baterías, " si a si se anuncia"... En cuanto a las cuchillas, puedes comprar unas de tamaño normal, marcar la medida que ocupas y con un par de pinzas trozar en la raya sin ningún problema y así tendrás el tamaño adecuado para el cepillo( recuerda que el carburo en duro pero quebradizo a cierto punto)
    Tiene un botón de seguridad, que al principio puede sentirse raro por qué igual no estás acostumbrado a el , pero solo es cuestión de precionarlo al principio y soltarlo mientras dejas precionado el gatillo y así de fácil...
    Lo he usado con la batería grande de 4 ah, lo que a mi gusto le da mejor balance que con una batería compacta de 2.5 o 3.0 ah ...
    Lo he comprado a un precio de $2150 , supongo que es inmejorable ya que en 鶹 de gringolandia está en 150 dólares sin envío y aduanas.
    Esta fabricado en Hungría...
    Recomendable al 1000% no te arrepentirás!
