About this item
- Note: 1)Too coarse a grind, too little coffee, or insufficiently tamping the grounds before brewing can all lead to inadequate pressure for a proper brew. 2)It is important to note that the amount of espresso extracted will vary depending on the grind size and amount and reprogramming may be needed when the size and amount are adjusted
- Does not trap essential oils of your coffee in a paper filter, and makes a beautiful slow-brew
- Includes a permanent stainless steel mesh filter; No paper filters or capsules needed
- Mouth-blown borosilicate glass, Dishwasher safe

Product description
The pour over promises excellent, rich taste and robust aroma while maintaining the natural oils of the ground coffee. For the perfect cup of coffee, simply fill the cone-shaped filter with freshly ground coffee and our a small amount of heated water over them until soaked. Slowly pour the remaining hot water into the filter. Coffee will drip into the mouth-blown, borosilicate glass carafe and, in 3-4 minutes, will be ready to serve. Remove the filter from the carafe before serving and enjoy.

About Bodum
BODUM – visionary innovation for over 70 years BODUM’s history dates back to 1944, when Peter Bodum launched the company in Copenhagen, Denmark. Renowned for its iconic French Press coffeemaker and signature Scandinavian design aesthetic, BODUM has grown into a global housewares brand, with distribution in more than 55 countries. Headquartered in Switzerland, the company continues to develop all products inhouse under its core principle that good design should be both functional and affordable. The range of products extends from coffee, tea and glassware to kitchen electrics and gadgets. A family-owned company, the brand is directed today by the founder’s son, Jørgen Bodum. "Good design doesn’t have to be expensive," Peter Bodum.

How To Use
How to brew delicious coffee with the filter coffee maker pour over: First, place your pour over on a flat, heatproof, non-slip surface. Add fresh, filter ground coffee to the cone – we recommend one rounded teaspoon or one Bodum scoop for each cup/4oz water. Slowly pour hot (not boiling) water in a circular motion over the coffee grounds, until they’re evenly saturated. Then pour additional hot water up to maximum capacity. Allow water to pass through the coffee into the borosilicate glass carafe (this takes around four minutes). Remove the filter, insert the plastic lid, and pour a great cup of joe.

Made from premium quality borosilicate glass that doesn't absorb taste or aroma, the beautifully shaped carafe is fitted with a permanent stainless steel filter for truly sustainable brewing. No wasteful paper filters that trap essential oils and flavor; just pure flavorsome coffee.

- Reviewed in Canada on October 30, 2019Verified PurchaseThis thing is adorable!
The coffee that comes out is really really good tasting compared to a standard coffee maker. You can customize your cup the way you like too, using different pouring techniques, different sized grounds, and different amounts of coffee.
The cleaning process for me is a little bit difficult, I have to shove a paper towel into the top and then awkwardly twist my wrist to get all of the surface area. If your hand is medium-small sized this shouldn't be that difficult. I find you just need to get 2-3 fingers inside.
I love the look of it, it reminds me of a fantasy potion bottle. It's so chunky and cute.
- Reviewed in Canada on January 18, 2022Verified PurchaseThis is an interesting little brewer (500ml/17oz) that's both functional and attractive. It is a metal filter system, so you should expect fines and oil in the cup, regardless of what manufacturers say about it being similar to paper-filtered coffee. That being said, the fines are minimal for a metal filter system. That difference in taste and texture is why I bought this brewer, and something you should at least expect, if not enjoy if you are considering purchasing one. Your brewing technique will also have to change if you are used to brewing with paper, but I think it's easier to get it right than paper
Things to like:
-the coffee is full-bodied and textural
-the carafe shape does a nice job of trapping fines in the bottom during the pour because of the break angle between the bottom and top sections
-the opening on the 500ml(17oz) brewer is the perfect size for a plastic V60-2 dripper if you just want to use the carafe
-the upper part of the carafe will hold a ceramic dripper cone like a Loveramics or Origami dripper with room to brew about 500ml
-the carafe feels high quality
-it's easy to operate
Things to dislike:
-the filter does not have much room for coffee; I like to brew about 16g to 350g (weak, I know) and the filter is about half full at that point
-the filter feels cheap compared to the carafe; it's easy to see why looking at the price of something like the Abel Kone or Kinto Slow; the performance is still good
-it would be very difficult to get your hand inside to wipe with a cloth if you like to clean by hand
-the neck where you grip is rather large and could prove difficult to hold for smaller hands
-the pouring, while not messy, leaves a little to be desired; you have to pour fairly steeply
Silly gripes:
-the packaging is minimal and mostly cardboard, which is good, but they put the manual and scoop inside the carafe, making it very difficult to get out with adult hands: a little frustrating

- Reviewed in Canada on July 9, 2020Verified PurchaseIf you have the extra 5 mins in the morning to heat some water and grind some beans, this little coffee maker is a must have! You can alter the proportions as you see fit, and I quite honestly enjoy the coffee I prepare more than 9/10 cafes - certainly better than the piss you get at your average Tims or McDonalds. Rivalling Starbucks, but at a cost of X cents per cup vs $7+ per cup, you can't go wrong with this guy! The reusable filter is wonderful - I have had issues with small amounts of coffee grounds getting through, but if you leave a few drips in the bottom of the beaker, they won't get in your cup. Very easy to clean - make sure to rinse out the filter immediately after using so that it lasts longer.
- Reviewed in Canada on December 21, 2024Verified PurchaseI love the look - it really is stylish - and get a lot of compliments! I use it when I have one or two of my friends for coffee instead of the larger bodum.
- Reviewed in Canada on December 1, 2024Verified PurchaseThis pour over device feels very cheaply made and is quite expensive for what it is. I thought by buying Bodum I would be getting a quality product but the cork and string felt extremely cheap, it wasn't comfortable to hold for pouring, and I was just overall disappointed. For context I have another popular brand of pour over but left it in storage so thought I would try the Bodum. I do love the reusable filter and I think the glass shape is more aesthetically pleasing than the more industrial looking Chemex but the other components were really lacking.
- Reviewed in Canada on March 17, 2022Verified PurchaseBig fan of pour over coffee. My last container (bought here on 鶹 and unfortunately no longer available) was broken in accident so I ordered this one as I trusted the company name and the 1000s of likes (without reading reviews….)
Pros: looks cute
Cons: filter is worthless. I was so surprised water passed so quickly, compared to what I’ve been doing for years!!! THANK GOD I kept my old filter.
There is a ton of sediments at the bottom of the coffee. Again, I know how to use those… I don’t grind the coffee in small powder. It feels like you should grind at all so you don’t get stuff at the bottom.
And apparently it’s super fragile now I read the comments. I hope I don’t break it in days…
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend. On the picture, you see I’m using my old filter and the new one besides. See how clear it is 😬

5.0 out of 5 stars Estetica e funzionalità

3.0 out of 5 stars Chemex perfect, filter niet goed

5.0 out of 5 stars Compact and gorgeous product
Verified PurchaseIt's a brilliant size to keep in the office. The filter and the pot is easy to clean, great value for money. Seems to be made out of sturdy glass, no issues encountered so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars Una Maravilla
