Edit: I started getting connection issues where if I turned off the console then back on, the controller would repair but then disconnect, repair, etc. doing a hard re-pair fixed it, but I found that super annoying. Tried to update firmware, support said to try and offline one. I did, didn't help much. So I'm returning and going to buy the laser bear replacement panel instead.

It does work, I used my Switch pro controller and felt like it worked really well. Didn't feel input lag or whatnot, maybe there is some but nothing that stood out to me. I also liked that it stayed paired, I didn't have to re-pair it every time

But there's a few things that annoy me. For one, the device sticks out so far from the GameCube. The wavebird and retro fighter adapter go upwards, this sticks straight out. Might not be a big deal for some, but it was annoying for me because I had to push the console further back in my shelf because of the door. It also means if something hits the adapter, there will be more torque to the controller port

The other thing I thought was odd was that this thing is not listed in 8bitdo's firmware update tool. Hopefully that gets fixed soon.

Overall it's good, but I think I may return it in exchange of getting the laserbear 4 controller wireless receiver that looks better and I can connect 4 controllers to instead of having to buy 4 giant dongles like this.
