I was looking to purchase a small, battery based, portable speaker for work. Working in television, I am sometimes asked to play back a take that was just recorded. However, my 17" production monitor does not have a speaker build in. I know, but it's not a "TV" - it's a production monitor...

Anyway, I wanted to have a small speaker that I can quickly plug into the back of this monitor. There is no shortage of inputs and outputs from this monitor, so that part was easy, too.

I like the size of this speaker, and I also like the "grip". It's very easy to grab and move about. You do have to be careful with one end of the "tube", and that is because a speaker is located there. If you are not careful, I believe you easily damage this speaker - it is not behind any kind of protective grill. It has an astounding rubber or silicone base - one of the "stickiest" I have ever seen. Put it on a table and it will stay right there!

The sound quality - for me - is great. But remember, I am just using this for audio playback. And that means just the human voice. And even then, I am just interested in hearing the lines the actor said. I have put some music through it, and it sounds fine. A bit weak in the base, but it's just a little speaker! You can't expect too much in terms of base response!

Lastly, it has an amazing amount of options. Far more than I actually need or want. I really only wanted a battery powered speaker with a volume control. What I received was a wonderful, compact speaker, with several options for sound inputs, in a very attractive package. I will be interested to see what kind of comments it generates my next time on set!

I recently purchased the MusiBaby M68 Bluetooth Speaker and wanted to share my thoughts on it. Overall, I think it's a good option for those who want a portable and waterproof speaker with decent sound quality. Firstly, I have to say that the bass is not as good as described, especially at full volume. It tends to get overpowered and distorted. However, at around 70% volume, the sound quality is perfect. The mids and highs are clear and crisp, but the bass is not as booming as I had hoped. Although it may not be as booming as advertised at full volume, the M68 can still deliver a decent sound quality with a good amount of bass when connected to another M68 speaker using pairing mode.
