Comedy icons John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd star in the outrageously funny musical comedy The Blues Brothers. Let's not forget the absolute best police pursuit / car chase ever filmed (thank you, Chicago) -- a true high point of Blues Brothers' slapstick. Is this an absurdist modern parody of the classic Western? Well, sure -- blended in with a fine examination of good and evil, crime and punishment, outrageous fortune, the pure comedy of the absurd, the revolving door of redemption and salvation; so, a classic Western parody it just might be, at least in part ... All right, what about the music? Is this really a musical? Oh, yes, it's a GREAT musical -- incomparable -- of that there can be no doubt! So, finally, this is a film essay about karma, beauty, divine inspiration, knowing and not knowing, comeuppance, brotherly love, doing the right thing, broken hearts, unconditional human kindness, the path of life -- "finestkind," as they say in the cranberry bogs of New England. In fact, this may very well be one of the best and funniest movies ever made -- well, it's at least in the top five! No one should miss it or ever be without their own copy.     Amazing movie. To purchase a movie on prime video it is way expensive. Prime video always came with 鶹 prime subscription for free, it still does but now they implemented ads that you have to pay more for to get rid of. And it is annoying during a movie. You get to see a gas station explode and extended Jail House Rock which is a reminder that Duck Dunn was such a cool bass player!
