About Us

Legacy Recordings is an American record label that is a division of Sony Music. Formed in 1990 after Sony's acquisition of CBS Records, Legacy originally handled the archives of Sony Music-owned labels Columbia Records and Epic Records. In 2004, under the Sony BMG joint venture, the label began to manage the archives of RCA Records, J Records, Windham Hill Records, Arista, LaFace, Jive, and Buddah Records. Legacy Recordings also distributes Philadelphia International Records and the catalog of recordings produced by Phil Spector. It is not related to the defunct British independent label Legacy Records.

    Ich besitze schon so einige Ozzy Alben ab dem 1988er Album, die ersten 3 Alben sind aber bisher jahrzehntelang komplett an mir vorbei gegangen (The Ultimate Sin hatte ich mir schon etwas frher nachgekauft).
    Dieses Debut aus 1980 ist fr mich das Beste der ersten 3, ein Klassiker jagt den anderen, sei es nun Crazy Train, I Don't Know, Goodbye To Romance, Suicide Soluton oder Mr. Crowly. Auch die bisher nicht genannten Songs brauchen sich nicht zu verstecken. Die Bonus Songs sind ebenfalls sehr gut, neben der Single-B-Seite "You Looking At Me..." ist noch eine vocal/guitar Version von "Goodbye To Romance" und ein 74 Sekunden langes Solo von Randy Rhodes zu h?ren. Schade, dass er so frh gestorben ist. Dieses Album legte den Grundstein fr Ozzys Solokarriere und lt. dem Rolling Stones Magazin ist es auf Platz 9 der besten 100 Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Alben, das will doch schon etwas hei?en, oder?
