Best looking movie I’ve ever seen in 4k
5 out of 5 stars
Best looking movie I’ve ever seen in 4k
This is one of the most beautiful and detailed film I’ve ever seen on 4k. No grain at all it feels very real. The HDR also looks great, the colours are beautiful and vivid. However the best part of the movie (besides it’s amazing story) might be the sound!! The bass shakes everything around me, Dolby atmos is also great especially in the first few scenes of the movie. It’s definitely a demo disc to show to your family and friends if you wanna impress them with your setup haha. The story is amazing just like the first, it’s a great sequel. FYI I am watching on a NeoQled tv with a Q800b soundbar and rear speakers

I loved this movie when I saw it in Imax. I was worried the post 3D adaption would not transfer well. But, It actually turned out Amazingly well. Most scenes in 3D are stunning, and it makes me wish it was that way when it was released in theaters. There are only a couple scenes where the 3D is not noticeable but that is ok since 95% of the scenes including all the wide angle shots do pull you into the world even more so in 3D. Wallace's pool room is actually one of the most noticeable differences, as in 2D it seems like the walls are vertical, but in 3D you can tell the walls are slanted as if you are inside a pyramid. The close ups of faces are probably the most impressive as the shape of faces really stand out and look real. They do not look like cardboard cutouts (how did they do that from originally 2D shots is just the magic of movie making I guess). When the actors evoke extreme emotions that counter their normally calm states, it is truly gripping to see their portrayals of these replicants transform into something more human. If you love Blade Runner, and enjoy 3D this is one that needs to be in your collection. It is truly impressive that they managed to adapt this to 3D without it looking hokey. And if you have a good sound system, the audio mixing is great in surround sound. The music is ethereal and haunting at times, yet sublime. This movie is a true masterpiece, and I only wish it did better commercially so that we could have more movies that are not just about superheroes and explosions when it comes to sci-fi.

First of all the reason for taking 1 star off my rating was because even though i find this is probably the best sequel that could have been made to the original movie (I honestly am not sure if something better could have been made considering how hard it was in the first place to make a sequel to such a unique movie as Blade Runner) I dont find the sequel as good as the first movie.First lets get all the good things with the movie up front.Denis villeneuve is one of the best new directors of our time and considering he is a canadian its flatering to us from this Country.Denis Villeneuve loves making movies its obvious. He puts a lot of attention into details like all the great directors like James Cameron,Steven Spielberg and Ridley Scott who directed the original Blade Runner.First great thing about this sequel is that it matches the original movie in terms of atmosphere. The sequel has a slow kind of pace similar to the original and the same type of atmosphere. In fact i believe this is why even though the sequel is highly regarded by fans and critics and hailed as another masterpiece and all just like the original movie it failed at the box office when it came out.The reason is simple. For thoses like me who was expecting the sequel to maybe have a more modern aproach in its story telling and pace are gonna be dissapointed cause a rare thing in hollywood is that the sequel goes for making a sequel that is almost a carbon copy of the original in its pacing and way the story is told. Most sequels to an old movie theses days would approach it in a new more modern way and add in lots of flashy action scenes just to not bore the new modern audience but Blade Runner 2049 doesn't do that.In fact it feels less a thriller i find than the original movie. The original movie had Rutger hauer's Character of Roy Batty and all the other replicants being a menace running around and having Harrison Ford's character chasing around the foggy city trying to find them. The original plot of the first movie contained more sustain suspense in some way because you knew that all theses replicants where dangerous killers ready to strike as soon as someone would find them or stop them from theyre purpose or mission.Everytime that Roy Batty,Priss,Zora or Leon was on screen you felt the suspense. But in the sequel yes there is one dangerous replicant in the form of Dave Bautista but he is killed pretty early on and Jared letto and a female associate of his but you dont see them all that often. And most of the plot of the sequel isnt too suspensfull i find.I also didnt like the subplot with K(Ryan Goslin) and his hollogram girlfriend.I thought it was just an excuse to show off the beautifull actress of the day that Hollywood used in a lot of new movies including 'James Bond no time to die'.But in terms of a sequel that fits well with the original movie you can't ask for better.Denis Villeneuve pays great homage to the feel, atmosphere and look of the original movie without looking like an 80's movie. In fact Blade Runner 2049 does the impossible. It looks like a modern movie of today but also fits perfectly as the sequel to the classic. The sets look amazing. The fx are good. The music by Hanz zimmer is not as good as the Vangelis score of the first movie. It could never have been. The Vangelis score is just too amazing and unique.Hanz zimmer tries his best to make something a bit similar but more modern sounding. In doing so he makes a score that is more forgetfull than Vangelis. There are some parts that are really good but other parts you just forget like its generic typical movie music. Its nice to have Harrison Ford back in here. Now for the extras its too bad that a huge movie like this don't have a huge making of documentary on the disc.It would have deserved the full extras treatment. The picture and sound quality on the bluray is reference quality.the atmost sound especially is very bassy and wow! I can't comment on the 4k disc cause i dont have a player. But the bluray looks good enough for thoses who wants to buy this combo until they upgrade to 4k.

Nein. Aber es wäre phantastisch!

    Hier noch was Technisches

    BILD

Acquistato prima in versione VHS, dopo in DVD, Cofanetto vari DVD ..Blu ray.....the director's cut..the finat cut etc.... conosco il film a memoria ! Come sempre spedizione 鶹 perfetta !

Il film è un capolavoro. Punto.
