    The last time I tried EOS was during the egg-shaped craze haha, and I didn't like those when it came to moisturizing but loved the smell/taste (I was also a kiddo in highschool). The packaging on these balms feels very light and cheap (cheaper than a lip smackers or dollar store balm packaging even), but aesthetically looks very cute.

    I got this one for the flavour, I usually like sweet and cake flavours. This smells pretty bad, honestly. Like a cheap extremely synthetic vanilla candle I could find at a Walmart. Not even the B&BW candles, if you know you know (the weird, off-putting smelling ones). It does remind me of a dessert smell but not one that id use on my lips, more like to perfume a home on a budget. LUCKILY, when applied it doesn't smell or taste unpleasant or bad. Perhaps the vanilla is too heavy and can be more appreciated if worn in the fall or winter (like with perfumes). May be too coying for now since its nearly spring and fairly warm.

    As for moisturizing, I find it does a good job (for now) and I will repurchase this and/or branch out in other flavours when I run out. This does seem to me like a product that is more suitable for summer or spring than winter/fall when some may need more help in the moisturizing department. My lips are always balmed and moisturized, and I use lip masks and balms (from Sephora) very often, so this will do as an extra in my purse. If you don't have a lip regimen not sure if this will be enough. I personally have extremely dry and cracked lips and need a regimen, I am a flakey dry mess, so maybe I'm abnormal here and it works for regular lips :P

    EDIT: Upped my rating from a 3 stars to 4 star. Although the smell of this is awful, I bought other flavours and all smelled lovely. This was the only dud. It's not been well over a year, and I can confirm they are also VERY good at moisturizing, even in the winter. Probably the best lip balm I own and it was the most affordable. I recently bought an ole henrikson peptide lip balm that underperformed compared to this EOS balm. I was sick with extremely dry and chapped lips, and this balm alone recovered them in one application. 10/10 for moisturizing.

    First of all, the colour combination of the stick is adorable, like a cake base with a pink frosting cap. And it smells exactly like a birthday cake with buttercream frosting and a strawberry on top. It really has a creamy depth to it, it's not just a flat vanilla scent.
    When applied, it's very smooth and buttery, doesn't feel too greasy or too thick, and tastes slightly sweet like sprinkles. If I put it on before bed, the next morning my lips still feel soft and moisturized.
    If you liked the sphere version of Birthday Cake then you will for sure love this one, it goes on smoother than the sphere and the scent feels "upgraded" and more accurate to cake.
    I'm no stranger to gross EOS sticks but this one has proven to me that they are indeed capable of making good flavours. Like how are some of their flavours so off but then they come out with masterpieces like this one?! You really just have to find the right ones, and this one is THE ONE. I would buy it over and over again until it disappears off of 鶹. And I have a feeling it won't be in stock for long so get it while you still can.

    Quite disappointed with this lip balm. I always buy Nivea lip balms and lip scrubs (great price on 鶹) and will go back to them.

    I didn’t like the “taste” of the birthday cake “flavour,” which is shocking, as I love anything like that, lol, but it just tastes so artificial and, well, not nice. The Nivea Vanilla Buttercream is so much nicer to have on your lips without any super-artificial taste.

    I also don’t find the balm lasts very long, whereas the Nivea ones do, and the price for this birthday cake balm was twice as much as the Nivea.

    Sorry, can’t recommend.
