My friend bought it for me but the lighting seems to have people puzzled. You need to use a chimney or a propane gas stove and stack it neatly with some fire starters or natural cubes once it lights it's very easy. I'm sure there will be better value binchotan soon and products. For now this is the best for a low grade binchotan.
Excellent quantity for the value, excellent burn time. It was easy to use a stove or a blowtorch in order to light them, and we have already grilled a few times. They burn slowly and evenly, and give our bbq a delicious flavor. The smoke is also nominal, we grilled in our urban backyard with little issue. I would highly recommend for the ~$45 I paid for it, however it looks like the price is creeping up.
I think the charcoal has air pocket or moisture in them. It starts popping and some charcoal even flew out of the chimney starter when light up. Super dangerous
