    I used to buy this lovely tea from a store quite a distance away, and it closed recently. Sudden panic. My Grandfather Harry intoduced Irish Breakfast tea to me 70 years ago. He believed tea should be strong enough to dissolve the spoon he used to stir it. I was so relieved to find Bewley's on 鶹. Tea that is like a punch in the face. Excellent

    Package came totally smashed but that is fine as the plastic was undamaged sealing the tea.
    that aside the flavours are incredibly strong compared to an English tea. To the point i feel like i put 4 or 5 bags of English tea in and let it steep for 20 minutes. I suggest using one tea bag and watering it down for the amount you would normally use two of like with yorkshire gold. i oddly find it better when brewed black tea then English tea brewed black. somehow easier to drink and the taste makes me think it would be ruined by sugar. Stains like crazy to.

    I like a strong tea with classic and potent tea flavors. This is the one. These days, I find that there are far too many teas out there that don’t really pisses much in the way of a classic tea taste, at least not immediately obvious to the pallet. This one is certainly the exception to the rule. But… I do have to leave it steep for the full 5min and then squeeze it slightly before removing it in order to achieve that ever-so-elusive yet so-often-sought-after beautiful tea flavor. I find that this brand, Bewley’s Irish Breakfast is very similar in taste to the American version of Red Rose — the blue box ‘Red Rose Original’. I mention this for anyone looking to find that extremely difficult one to get. Go with this one instead, if you have to, as it’s usually less expensive and much easier to find — yet with an almost identical profile in terms of flavor. Yep… This BIBT is a winner!
