I purchased this product as it was inexpensive and I have never done or even tried any type of pyrography. I give this product 3 stars as there are a couple things: 1) unno how great this is for kids, the handle gets pretty hot even when the hand is suppose to go 2)one of the tips bent, probably from the heat after so long of consistent use. This is fairly simple to use, plug it in wait 5-10minutes (more like 10 minutes) and burn away…. Regardless, a descent first time tool.

    My son 12yo son received this kit for his birthday and while using it for the first time and gently removing the tip from the wood burner, it snapped off and the base is stuck inside.
    It’s a neat set, however I’m not sure how great the quality is if the tips snap so quickly on first use when being careful.
    It’s unfortunate for us, hopefully others have better experiences with this.

    This was a gift for my crafty 9 year old. I’ve noticed with these types of gifts, they tend to sit in rooms for months on end untouched. I had to encourage him to use it, eventually he agreed.

    We started trying to create a design and he burnt his finger on the tool, unfortunately that was enough to make him completely uninterested. I however, continued testing it out and thought it was super cool! It works well, but it is no joke, this is a legit tool and needs to be used with parent supervision.
