    When Kelly Pulley was very young he dreamed of being a cowboy, unfortunately he didn’t have a horse, a hat or a rope, so his range riding dreams were temporarily corralled. He did have a Deluxe 64-count box of Crayola Crayons with a built-in sharpener — so instead of cow poking, he became an artist.

    Now Kelly is a full-time writer and illustrator of children’s picture books. He teaches and entertains kids with his humorous books and inspires them to discover their own creative voices through his YouTube videos. He has illustrated numerous children’s books including many in the Best-selling Beginner’s Bible and Veggie Tales series.

    He has authored and illustrated several picture books, including the outlandish and wacky Ten Unusual Features of Lulu McDunn (Gauthier Publishing), and the humorous, Bicycle-themed Bicycling Rules of the Road, and The Cycling Wangdoos, (Schiffer Publishing).

    We upgraded to this bible when our 'The Illustrated Bible for Little Ones' became a little too basic. I was looking for something that was more story focused versus summary focused and this book delivered.

    The illustrations are gorgeous, the book fits in little hands easily, and covers the majority of the old and new testament.

    The aspect I like most about this Bible is that each book/chapter is a couple pages long rather than just a summary like in our other Bible.

    The only thing I'm worried about is how many paper pages there are for my 3yr olds. I'm just worried about them being ripped but so far it's holding up well! They know it's a special book to be gentle with and i think it makes it easier for the kids to be careful since it's a smaller book.

    I bought this for my four year old. The pictures are bright and colourful which my kids love! The story content is basic enough with simple words for this age but I felt the book wasn’t very good value for us because the details of the stories were limited and I felt he’d outgrow it too soon. I decided to return it at first because the cover was damage and then decided to just get a bible (The Complete Illustrated Children’s Bible) that my four year old can grown into and enjoy for many more years! Had I purchased this bible when my son was two years old, I would have kept it and enjoyed it for years. When my oldest son had it read to his class by his teacher in kindergarten he loved it. I still recommend this bible even though we chose another one.
