Product description
POWERFUL HONEY BEE PHEROMONE
Bee Bait Swarm Lures are a highly effective method for attracting feral colonies and an inexpensive way to increase the population of your apiary.
HOW IT WORKS
The all natural components of Bee Bait mimic the nasonov pheromone, which is released by scout bees to orient the colony to new hive locations. Just a few drops of Bee Bait is potent enough to attract swarms to your bait hive and will last for up to three weeks.
Benefits to Using Bee Bait Swarm Lure
Guaranteed to increase your chances of catching a swarm by over 75%.
Unlike other swarm lures, Bee Bait includes additional natural ingredients that mimic the scents of a beehive.
Scent remains active in the bait hive for up to 3 weeks (depending on climate).
Just one bottle is enough to bait up to 100 hives!
WHY DOES BEE BAIT AND OTHER SWARM LURES SMELL LIKE LEMONGRASS OIL?
The nasonov pheromone consists of a number of different scents, including geraniol, nerolic acid, citral and geranic acid. Lemongrass consists of up to 85% citral, which is what gives it its distinctive aroma. Bee Bait is superior to other swam lures because we don't believe 85% is good enough. In fact, we are not satisfied with only using one component of the nasonov pheromone. AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is great
Verified PurchaseThis stuff does wonders!! i actually got a bee hives setup 2 tiers and i popped drops into the bottom box and spilled it all over the top and the sides then I let it set. once the last snow storm hit I went out there and bam I have a full hive living inside they are doing great. Super stoked I did not have to do anything this stuff pulled them in. I love it !!! I have already recommended using this and people who have come over are pretty impressed the hive just moved in on their own.

5.0 out of 5 stars Caught a swarm! First time using this swarm lure.
Verified PurchaseI've always purchased another brand. Tight budget this year and Bee Bait Swarm Lure was more affordable. I was fairly liberal (more than two drops) on the frames in the swarm trap. Swarm trap went out the first week of June due to cooler temps at the location (7,000' altitude in foothills). Swarm moved in June 26th. My swarm traps are nothing fancy, a plastic Nuc with three old frames. I had two traps out this year. The trap with the Bee Bait lure was the only trap that caught a swarm. I will be using this product again next year.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work.
Verified PurchaseThis stuff doesn't work at all. Tried to remove a swarm from a dead tree and installed a catch box and applied product to opening and observed for over 1 hour and seen no bees enter hive box, there was drops of attraction and in entrance area. The bees didn't come within 6" of opening. They were attracted more to sugar water than the attractant i purchased.
I WILL NOT BUY AGAIN.
