Absolute reliability and consistency. I had never bought a home scale before because those I’d seen at friends’ houses were so inconsistent and the weight could be altered 3 or 5 pounds just by shifting the forward to the balls of the feet or moving the feet forward or back.
This scale is square, solid, and when used on a smooth hard floor delivers consistent readings to the 0.1 tenth of a pound. You can step off, step back on and it will display the same reading to the tenth. Your feet don’t have to be in the exact same place every time to try to maintain consistency. Readings are not reliable or accurate if placed on a soft carpet.
If you want a scale that gives you useful information and not inconsistent numbers, this is a great option.
