    Great! But it says made in China and also the hook where you hang the clock is a silver color triangle just above the middle of the quartz mechanism instead of higher up, where it would have been easier to hang. Numbers could have been made bolder.

    Another review, from 2014, stated this Bates clock was produced in North America. This may have been the case back then, but I received my clock yesterday (in 2020) and it is made in China. Also, the 鶹 product description stated "glass lens..." - however the entire clock body, including the front lens, is made of plastic. Unfortunately, my clock arrived with very small plastic debris under the plastic lens, a cosmetic annoyance. As well, my clock's second hand is slightly bent, though it still works fine. The clock's box was factory-sealed, so obviously these are (minor) quality control issues at the factory; likely not shipping-related. Also, it carries the well-known Bates brand name, though be aware that you will find no instructions, no warranty statement, nor any leaflet inside the box. You won't even find the company's address (or phone number) listed on the box. So good luck if it ever breaks.
