At the time this toy was better priced than in Wal-Mart. Not sure if its the same now, but when I purchased it, it was a better price.

    I got this Barbie for my 4 year old's birthday gift. She loves everything rainbow and has recently been into dolls and mermaids. It was a HUGE hit! She loves playing with it and putting it in water to make it change colours. It doesn't seem to have any holes that water can get into, so hopefully it won't get gross like bath toys do sometimes. Despite all of this, I had two issues with it: (1) the packaging is awful. Absolutely terrible. It looks cheap and has way too much plastic. I almost wrecked the Barbie trying to get it out. (2) The necklace comes off really easily and, when it does, shows an obvious hole in Barbie's chest. I've tried gluing it together, and it came off in the water. It's almost a product defect because it's so loose when taken off a couple of times, that it almost falls off. I'm going to try Gorilla glue it next.

    But I've got a happy 4 year old, so I'm happy with it!

    My daughter asked specifically for a "Rainbow mermaid Barbie" for Christmas, so I was so surprised when I found this product! Not only did it fit the description, it also had this amazing water feature wheew the Barbie and her hair changes colour (light pale, rainbow pastel colours under warm water, and a darker but vibrant version of the rainbow colours when cold). Her fin also changes colour with the different temperatures. It has great entertainment value for playing in her bedroom, but also in the bath! I highly recommend this toy.
