Very great product, cheap price, amazing build. The proportions are the best I've ever seen on a RX-78 model. Especially for a 144th scale model. It's a very expressive model and is easy to pose. The only problem I had is that the beam sabers do not fit into the backpack. Overall I highly recommend this model. (The photo included is without any touchup and or panel lining, straight build)

    This was initially one of my first kits I ever built. After a while of being kinda disappointed with how I did (lots of nubs) I ended up buying a second one to see how my skills have improved. It's a really fun build that I'm glad I got to do twice, and the finished product is great. The white on this kit is particularly interesting, as it's been injected with a tiny bit of turquoise to resemble the look of the show. Articulation is pretty on-par with a high grade and accessories are nice enough. Not too many bad nubs either. Awesome kit really.

    For reference, I have only ever built two gundams as a small child and struggled heavily with them. Now as an adult, I wanted to try my hand at building a kit and chose the RX-78-2 - the "grand-daddy" of gundams.

    The kit was very easy and accessible to a gundam newbie like me - instructions are very clear and simple, while precision sticker application was minimal, and most parts were easy to take out of the frame and assemble. Almost like a LEGO set.

    I love this kit! It's by far my favorite of the two I own. Even before sanding and top coating it, it looked magnificent. An almost 1:1 anime likeness. I'm going to get my only complaint out of the way ASAP; stickers. These stickers are by far the absolute worst aspect of this kits assembly. They're far too small and could be inhaled if one is not careful. Other than that this kit is perfect and comes with a variety of awesome accessories. Unlike my first model kit, this one arrived in a timely matter (of course this varies from seller to seller). The price was quite reasonable as well, free shipping seems to be quite the boon with these kits.

    As my second kit I give it 4 out of 5 stars

    Ok now I loved this and it's perfect but I only have two problems; 1 is that it comes with bonus hands for different weapons and bonus different weapons which is great but now I have to think of where to store the small bonus parts to not lose them, 2 is that being in Canada the shipping on this is rather high but you can just order two and the shipping is the same so I got one as a gift and now half shipping on two items seems better than full shipping on one. Honestly too it's one of the cheapest Gundam model build kits out there and it's great quality too.

    If you're not sure about starting gunpla , this is the best kit to test water. It's not too easy and not too hard. Gives you a good idea of what it is all about. You'll make mistake on your first kit, so at this price point you won't feel bad about them and you'll know what tools you need to get to get a better result.

    It's such a simple, tiny kit, and yet it represents decades of history. The 'grandpa' is an iconic design, and one that almost every major suit in the UC (and other) timelines follows to some extent. If you're not a Gundam fan, none of that crap means anything to you, but if you are, you already know how important this suit is.

    The kit itself is only a few runners, and will take even someone completely new to model building only a few hours to put together. I only do basic snap-togethers of my my fits with the occasional panel-lining and decal application, so my pictures will represent exactly what you get out of the box. It's a very nicely posable model for something so small and simple, and its accessories are equally as simple and good looking. The fit of the pieces is spot-on, and the look remains iconic despite being simplified for a high grade. It stands up extremely well to extended playing around, which some of the more complicated models often will not, making it double quite decently as a toy for careful hands.

    If you're a gunpla fan, you either already have this kit, or just turn you nose up to high grades and don't want to even be bothered. Don't worry. I want the PG grandpa myself. One day... If for some reason you don't already have this kit, and enjoy throwing together high grades, seriously - get it. It's a fun little build.

    If you want to give a gift to someone who likes putting things together, likes giant robots (maybe even a Gundam fan already,) and likes having knick-knacks they can actually play with from time to time, this is a great pick. It's extremely cheap, it looks great put together without any paint and only minimal amounts of stickers, and is overall a pretty relaxing experience. Just remember to get them a pair of decent plastic nippers if they don't already have them; all of the pieces come attached to runners.
