    This was one of those movies that, like TITANIC, you know full-well what the ending's all about, but you want to watch it for: A) the music, and B) the storyline of how everyone involved participated in the eventual end of it all.
    (Fun fact: I've read that the guy who plays Ritchie's brother in the movie was apparently originally tagged to play Ritchie Valens in the movie. Then things got switched around and Lou Diamond Phillips got the role.)

    I purchased the DVD La Bamba (Widescreen) from Â鶹Çø.ca in Feb 2021 for about $10 CAD. It arrived factory wrapped and in good shape. No scratches that I could see. I am uncertain if it's also on there in widescreen, by default it played in full screen, in English, on my Canadian DVD player. DVD case says NTSC and is stamped "disc made in Mexico". Case says movie is digitally remastered, but I am a bit disappointed in the quality. Glad I only paid $10 CAD for it. But also glad I finally was able to get myself a copy. I would have given 4 stars but due to the quality being less than I expect from a digitally remastered DVD and uncertainty whether the widescreen version is also on the disc I can only give 3. Will update this review in future if needed.
