    I have an old atera hot tub and could not get a new topside controller that would work so went with the balboa. Came fast with topside controller, new heater and control board. Initially thought it was going to be hard to put in, but, was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was. I did have to order a different spa motor cord as my old one did not have the same plug for the control board. Setup and configuration was pretty easy thanks to several YouTube videos on the subject. Pleased with the outcome and operation is top notch.

    There is a bad circuit board. I can't hook up the blower because the one leg of 110 ends right before the next circuit board. I have contacted the manufacturer and have not heard back.
    VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT I HAVE TO PAY AGAIN FOR INSTALL!
    My spa guy had just hooked another one of these up for someone else prior to doing mine and it was fine, everything worked.

    Flawless replacement for my 9 year old Gecko spa pack. Just ensure you read and understand the directions otherwise you may have 220 volts running to 110 volt pump, like I almost did. The instructions could be better, but overall made easier reviewing some YouTube videos on how to program using topside control unit and set dip switches. Product is working well! My only complaint is the instructions really could have been better for a DYI like myself. And it goes without saying.. but always ensure you cut the power off when working on!
