I got this to balance charge, store and discharge 5000mah 3S batteries. I followed all instructions, and it actually works incredibly well, it charges them up lightning fast, the discharge/store is horrible slow, but thats not my issue...
The issue is this product doesnt have any internal fans or cooling system, so after 5 minutes of charging a battery it is so hot you cannot pick it up with your bare hands, and dont even get me started with the discharging. I was discharging my 3s lipo battery and my cousin unknowingly picked it up and burnt the tips of 3 of his fingers enough to make small blisters.
The charger has little feet on the bottom of it, but regardless, even the table or whatever material is below is gets crazy hot too.
I didnt even feel good going to the washroom quickly for a leak and leaving this thing running.
Its an excellent price, but nowhere near safe and it shouldnt get so hot you need oven mittens to pick the damn thing up.

Ive since sent it back for a refund, $50+ charger isnt worth burning my house down.

The good news is that this unit is very flexible! Lots of options! The menu structure is a bit... iffy, but it all works pretty well.
The only 3 gripes I have are: 1) The unit gets very hot and needs to have a fan running over it if you're doing any charging/discharging. 2) The max discharge is only 10 watts, which is a joke. 3) The AC Adapter that comes with this gets INSANELY hot. I can barely touch it if I'm charging batteries. It seriously feels like a fire hazard. I end up powering it with my lab power supply b/c of this.

Otherwise, it is very versatile for standard charging and balanced charging!

I can not honestly say that I have any problems with this battery charger and to adhere to any of the negative aspects it may have like battery size limitations or charging output you simply should have saved a little more money to buy what you actually needed because if you're only looking for an entry level charger for 2 or 3 cell lipo batteries or a nimh pack for your average battery pack for a 1/10 scale or smaller vehicles this is the perfect charger if you have an issue with overheating maybe you should buy a battery charger a little better suited for high output charging but honestly at this price I cannot give it any less than 7 out of 5 stars this charger does more than some chargers with a considerable cost difference you will not find a better charger in the same price range for quite a while
