    This lock works PERFECTLY on my toilet! Now that my toddler is 20 months and interested in how toilets work, I really have to be careful about leaving the lid or seat up. He’s getting ready to potty train, which makes it all the more fun to hang out by the toilet. 🙄 since I can’t always remember to shut the door, I got one of these. It was really easy to install and adheres well!

    To make sure it was in the right spot before I installed it, I used a pencil to mark to outer edge of the part that sticks. I cleaned the area with rubbing alcohol, let it dry, then stuck it on! It helps to apply pressure for a good 30-60+ seconds, then LET IT SIT as long as possible. After testing it out to make sure it worked, I didn’t use the lock for 24 hours or so. That helps it adhere better. I love the little button that allows you to swing the lock..... but, so does my son. 😩 Luckily he can’t figure out how to push it AND swing the lock at the same time....

    It’s easy enough to leave it unlocked too. Very simple, yet well thought out. I’m afraid it may leave a mark when I try to remove it someday, but I knew that could be a possibility. Our toilet seat is pretty old anyway, so it’ll just be a good excuse to get a new one LOL.

    I highly recommend this! Works great if you have pets that can lift the lid, also.
