What type of water should I use in this humidifier?

For best results, use distilled or demineralized water to prevent mineral deposits. Tap water can be used, but may cause white dust and scaling, so more frequent cleaning will be needed.
Is it safe to put essential oils in the water tank?

No. Only use the dedicated essential oil tray. Adding oils directly into the water tank can damage the unit and cause leakage.
How can I avoid leaks from my humidifier?

Prevent leaks by seating the tank properly, not overfilling past the MAX line, and keeping the air outlet dry during refilling and cleaning.
Why is my humidifier producing less mist even at the highest setting?
