I was looking for a phone mount to take advantage of the metal ring I recently installed on my phone case. I got the Cold Shoe Phone Mount Holder to use my phone with tripods and camera setups for video recording. This mount is compact and convenient, though it does have some room for improvement. Pros: - Strong magnet holds the phone securely, even when shaking. - Magnetic design makes it easy to attach and remove the phone, usable in both portrait and landscape. - Slim and compact, can also serve as a phone stand. - Good build quality, sturdy aluminum and adjustable hinges for different angles. - Compatible with MagSafe and includes a magnetic ring for non-MagSafe phones. Cons: - Could be longer at the hinge, limiting angles for larger phones. - Charging port gets blocked in portrait mode. - Limited adjustability unless paired with a ball mount for more motion.

    - This is kind of a neat item. It has a cold shoe mount where you can mount it to your camera, and also underneath the shoe, it has a 1 /4 inch screw so you can mount on things such as tripods making it more versatile in mounting options. The unit is made of metal and is good quality. The bend is rather stiff. Stiffer than expected and you cant adjust its tightness. The box comes with a metal ring so you can stick it to the back of a phone case (if your phone does not have that magsafe magnets built-in). But if you have Magsafe, or a phone case with a magnet ring built-in it will work, so it doesnt have to be an apple iphone only. I tested with my iphone SE 3 with a medium shock resistant case (with built-in ring on the back) and it works perfectly. It sticks well too. But note that the iPhone SE 3 is much smaller and lighter than the bigger phones and so YMMV.
