Like Chocolate Ice Cream That Hasn't Quite Melted
This protein shake is surprisingly filling for such a small bottle. I guess that's mainly due to the 27g of protein, though the 26 vitamins/minerals must certainly help. Whenever I'm running late in the morning or just can't be bothered to make any breakfast, it's great that I can grab one of these. A single bottle keeps me full until lunchtime. It's really convenient. The drink itself is very thick/creamy. It looks and tastes like chocolate ice cream that hasn't quite melted yet. The consistency is not like a chocolate milkshake but more like a chilled chocolate syrup. What I'm trying to say is that the taste isn't bad but it is very sweet. It also has a weird aftertaste that will stay in your mouth for hours, unless you rinse your mouth out with water. While I personally enjoy the chocolate flavor, it can be a bit heavy/strong for some people. One of the other reviewers mentioned that he/she makes a smoothie by blending the drink with fruits, to lessen some of that chocolatey taste. I think that's a great idea. I chuck a banana and some strawberries into a blender, then mix it with this shake. The resulting smoothie is super refreshing. Plus, it almost entirely gets rid of that weird aftertaste you get with these kinds of protein shakes. The last thing I want to talk about is the overall bottle design. It's pretty portable because it's small enough to fit in my bag's side pockets and even in my jeans if I'm especially in a hurry. And I really like that the ingredients and nutritional breakdown are written clearly on the bottle sleeve. There's certainly a lot of sugar in this, so I'm not sure how healthy it is, but it does keep you full until your next meal. All in all, I think it's a decent protein shake but it may not be the healthiest meal replacement choice.

    I have had the idea of trying this product out for quite a while and finally decided to give it a shot. Once I chilled it to a proper drinking temperature, I gave it a taste, and it wasn't bad at all! It didn't leave any aftertaste in my mouth and the texture was nice. It also filled me up enough so that I was not craving any other food until a few hours later. The only thing is that it does tend to be a bit on the pricey side for what it is. While I will most likely order some again just to have on hand when next winter starts in case I get snowed in or just don't feel like trudging out for food, it is not something I will buy on a regular basis. But overall, while it is a good product, there are others out there that would be more cost-effective for my budget.
