Ombines two capacitors into one unit. Three terminals on the top are labeled "Herm"/"H" for the compressor motor, "Fan"/"F" for the fan, and "C" for the common line.It will power a compressor motor and a fan motor

This capacitor is used for start-up and operation of AC motors with
frequency of 50Hz/60Hz such as Industrial Grade Replacement for

Compressors.It is small in size, lightweight, heat resisting and anti-explosion.
Round capacitor can be used to substitute oval shape one with the
same MFD AND Volt specs.A 440 volt capacitor can be used in place
of a 370 volt, as it is build better, but the 370 can’t be used in place
of a 440 volt.

    not sure if it is normal but drew 1 more amp than my old capacitor.
    old was around 5.5 amp draw when running, with this was about 6.5 amp.
    replaced as was sounding like a loud start on a 2.5 ton ac compressor.
    with this the load thump went away.
    old cap was reading under ~37mf, cap for fan was in spec at ~4.8mf

    It works. Went outside, fan wasn't spinning on the condenser unit and it was making a bit of a humming noise. I don't think you always get the noise, but once you do all the simple troubleshooting, I'd look here next. If the capacitor looks swollen or corroded--its probably bad. You can test it to verify, lots of videos online that can show you how (wordofadvicetv). Be careful if you do this work because it is dangerous if you don't follow basic safety precautions (again watch the videos).

    Anyhow, I got it from 鶹 in 24 hours, and swapped it out in 15 mins. Much faster than calling a HVAC tech and at least $200 cheaper (assuming your HVAC guy is honest and doesn't just tell you your compressor is broken--then quote you $2000). I bought two just to have one on hand. I have no idea of the longevity of the product. I've got a spare now and if they don't last I'll update this post and let you know if I figured out if there is a more reliable version.
