Use in M Mode

  • When using a manual lens, the camera should be set to "M" manual mode.
  • Since manual lenses lack electronic contacts for lens recognition, the inability to automatically adjust exposure values may result in photos that are too dark or too white. So manual setting of ISO and shutter speed is required.

F00

F00 Display

  • Manual lenses do not have an electronic contact, "F00" is displayed because the camera is unable to acquire aperture information.
  • At the same time, the aperture information cannot be adjusted from the camera, and the aperture value F/1.8-22 can only be adjusted by the len's Aperture Ring.

Manual Focus (MF)

FULLY MANUAL LENS, no electrical contacts→ no autofocus→ no image stabilization

  • When using a manual focus lens (non-autofocus), you must rotate the "Manual Focus Ring" at the front of the lens to achieve sharp focus; otherwise, the subject will appear blurry in the viewfinder.
  • Additionally, the aperture can only be adjusted via the "Aperture Ring" on the lens. For optimal results, ensure the viewfinder diopter is correctly set for your eyesight.
  • Practice adjusting both rings to master precise control over focus and exposure.

Enable "Release shutter w/o Lens"

How to use the manual lens?

Enable "Release shutter w/o Lens"

  • You can not press the shutter after attaching. To resolve this, Enable "Release shutter w/o Lens".
  • Tips to use our Manual Lens: 1) Set the Release shutter w/o Lens option in the camera menu to Enable. 2) Set the mode dial to Manual (M).
  • Note that the aperture value will not be displayed (it will show "F00"). The aperture F1.8-22 can only change by adjusting the "aperture ring" on the lens.

85mm lens
85mm lens
  • Since there are no electronic contacts to recognize the lens, please do Enable the "Release shutter w/o lens". After enabling the "Release shutter w/o lens" and switching to M, it will work normally.

  • For manual lenses, you must turn the focus ring on the front of the lens to focus. If the photo is still blurry after focusing sharply, please adjust the exposure by ISO/aperture/shutter speed.

  • Manual lenses do not have an electronic contact, "F00" is displayed because the camera is unable to acquire aperture information. For manual lenses, the aperture value can only be adjusted with the aperture ring on the lens.

  • If the image is too dark, increase the ISO (e.g. from 800 to 1600) to increase the sensitivity, and decrease the shutter speed (e.g. from 1/250s to 1/125s) to allow more light onto the sensor.

  • If the image is too bright, lower the ISO (e.g. from 200 to 100) to reduce the light sensitivity, and increase the shutter speed (e.g. from 1/125s to 1/250s) to reduce the exposure and avoid overexposure.
