USB to Ethernet USB Hub is great ..sturdy aluminum housing that runs cool..even comes with nice cloth bag for storage and transport..I've only used it for Ethernet and multi-port USB hub for flash drives so far, haven't tried external hard drives, but I'm happy with it's quality construction and ethernet speed on an HP X360 laptop. I pay for 1Gigabit/s internet upload/download speed, and posted a photo of the speed I'm now getting with this Benfei adapter..excellent mid-900's.

BUT, WARNING! ...I did have to install an HP Service Pack, SP82760, Serial IO (Input/Output)drivers, on this HP laptop because I got slow downloads...mid-200's, but fast mid-900's upload speeds when first installed...I thought I had gotten a defective adapter from an unknown company and would have to return it...many internet providers only offer fast downloads, but upload speed usually a fraction of download speed...but not fiber internet...most are full speed up and down, and that's what I get on the rest of my IQFiber home network...mid-900's...and Win11 quickly recognized this Benfei USB-to-Ethernet and installed the latest "Realtek USB GbE Family" drivers, but I still got this odd speed disparity between speeds, so I guessed that USB drivers for this HP laptop had been corrupted or were proprietary to this hardware after I noticed this HP "Serial IO" servicepack on their support site...installed it, rebooted, problem solved, now mid-900 speeds both directions ! ?
