"This is a laptop stand with a built-in hub. The stand is very high quality. The metal plates are thick, smoothly finished, do not flex. The hinges are extremely stiff, do not require screws, and stay in position when typing on the laptop.
The stand has a captive usb-c cable (metal connector housing, woven cable jacket). Connect this cable to your laptop and the hub is ready for use. The hub has the following ports:
• 1 x HDMI: up to 4k@60hz
• 1 x USB-C 3.2: transfer data up to 10gbps (no video transmission, no power delivery)
• 1 x USB-C: power delivery 100W to the ports and the laptop (no data transfer or video transmission)
• 2 x USB-A 3.2: transfer data up to 10gbps
• 2 x card slots: SD 3.0, micro SD 3.0
Note that neither usb-c port can be used to connect to a monitor, only the HDMI port can. If you want to use usb-c for both video and power on a modern laptop, you still need to plug in 2 cables: one usb-c connect to a monitor for video and power, one usb-c connect to the stand/hub. It would be nice if you only need to plug in one usb-c cable for everything (monitor, power, and hub). If you have a high end monitor with built in hub, you will only need to plug in one usb-c cable to your laptop and you can get a regular stand. However, those monitors usually cost a lot. This stand with a built in hub is quite good value. "
