I wouldn't even think of grilling without grill mats these days, and this set works just fine. No more flare-ups (as long as you monitor any grease pooling while cooking fatty items), more even cooking, and even grill marks. Great for grilling veggies (try grilled squash and onions alongside a steak - yum!). These keep my grill clean and end the worry that a wire from a wire cleaning brush will end up in someone's food. My only reservation is that these can take a lot of scrubbing to get clean afterwards - but for me it's worth it!
