    Although some of their images are showing this on a split (down the centre of the lid), console, it will only lay on top of a split console unsecured. The elastic straps designed to hold it in place will not go around a split console. I did try this just laying on the console, but that was short lived as it kept sliding off. I have had it secured with the elastic straps to only one half of the split console for a week now, (see image with red circle) and it does provide a bit of comfort resting our elbow there although it hangs off the side.
