I received the Axirata 208 PCS Magnetic Building Blocks, Magnetic Block Building Cubes Set for Kids Toddlers Ages 3+, priced at $59.99 CAD at the time of review.
The set includes all the tiles and the storage bag as shown in the product listing. It also comes with a small instruction pamphlet to help you get started with your first few designs. I tried building the 8 magnetic structures featured in the advertisement photos and can confirm that all 8 are achievable with the pieces provided.
The magnets inside the cubes are either loose or rotational, which allows them to connect from any direction. This is a great feature because it makes the building experience smoother and more flexible. The magnets are strong enough to keep structures together during play. I didn’t test how long of a bridge it could hold before gravity beats magnetism, but for standard builds, they hold up well.
Overall, I found this to be a very cool and engaging toy that can offer hours of creative fun for kids who love building. One word of caution: each cube measures approximately 2.1 cm x 2.1 cm, which could pose a choking hazard for younger children who are still inclined to put toys in their mouths.
That said, for the right age group, this set is a fantastic purchase and highly recommended.
