Angie, 6, and sister Polly, 4, are utterly distraught when they arrive to stay with foster carer Cathy Glass. Their older half-sister Ashleigh has accused their father of something horrible, and the two young sisters have been removed from home to keep them safe.
Cathy tries to comfort the girls, but they are inconsolable. They just want their mummy and daddy, whom they love dearly.
The girls appear to have been well looked after, but as they settle and start to talk of life at home, it becomes clear something is badly wrong. Then a chance remark sets in motion a chain of events that eventually changes everything.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic book
Verified PurchaseIt emotional as always. Same goes for all the books. I can’t even put it down. As back of my head am thinking about it and wondering what happened next. It very well read and understanding for me as I am deaf and normally I find it hard to read. Cathy glass books made it so clear that I can understand and continue reading. It such a shame there are no more books. A****

5.0 out of 5 stars Never disappointed
Verified PurchaseI have read everyone of Cathy's memoir books except the last one just released "Unwanted" which I have & will read shortly.
"A Family Torn Apart" was no exception. The story Cathy tells keeps you captivated from the very first page right through until the last page. She is such a loving & caring Mother/Foster Carer/Author. The children that find themselves entrusted into her care are the lucky ones because Cathy will with everything she has care for them & love them no matter what. Just as she did for little Angie & Polly from this story.

5.0 out of 5 stars a family torn apart
Verified PurchaseA beautiful story once again. What a terrible situation to be in for Tim. My heart went out for the girls. But happy there was a happy ending and the girls were reunited with their parents. Great work Cathy. 😊😊
