    I ordered this mat for a couple reasons. The first is that I suffer from foot pain and the second is because I often have shoulder and back pain due to tension and this item also came with the foot massage balls.

    What I like about this mat: While the balls are intended to be used on your feet, they work well for the back and shoulder areas also. Again, one of the reasons I purchased this item. The mat itself has areas where the raised nodules are very close together as well as the inner area where they are farther apart. I find that if I only have a slight pain or for the heel /ball of my foot I prefer the outer part of the mat with the closer nodules and for arch pain I really prefer the inside section. I also love that this mat is small enough to fit under my desk as I work from home and I will often put the balls in the track and run my feet back and forth as I work which feels amazing.

    When I initially received this item it came folded in half. I was a bit disappointed by this because I was afraid that it would not unfold flat. However, it did come with directions to appropriately flatten the item out which I followed and it worked well. I would say after a day or two it was fairly flat and after about a week of use you can't even tell it was initially folded. I will also say that this mat feels excellent when you are sitting down and you place it under your calf or leg muscles as it offers some nice acupressure in those areas as well. It would probably also feel awesome if you laid your back on it.

    Overall, this mat seems to be well constructed and does not show signs of stress from being folded in the box and then subsequently unfolded. I also think that at $20 it is a pretty good value for your money given it comes with the massage balls also and those can get pricey.

    If you are looking for an acupressure mat this one is a good choice!

    I am not a survival show contestant, but stepping on the mat reminded me of the segments where contestants for Naked and Afraid are training there feet to walk in the jungle naked. When I stepped on the mat it was like getting a tattoo painful. After about 30 minutes of standing on it, my feet went numb. Walking on it hurt like burning charcoal and sulfur. After I stepped off the mat, I could tell my feet felt better than before I started.

    The mat is made of rubber and has spiky numbs on it that target specific areas of your feet. It comes with 2 rolling balls that also have nubs on them. The rolling balls are gentler and make a great warm up to stepping on the mat.

    My reviews are based on my experiences with the product, not on my status as a Viner. I look at my rating as if I were buying these products with my own money. Below is a shortened breakdown of my final star rating.

    Atsuwell Acupressure Foot Massage Mat, 5-Zone Reflexology Mat with Dual Massage Ball Tracks, 20.1''x 17 '' (ASIN : B0DYNNGHBC) The mat came folded, so I recommend putting it under a sofa cushion or mattress, and let it relax for a day or two - I didn't sit on it, just let the weight of the cushion do the work. I use this while seated, and just rest my feet on it, moving them a little for full coverage on my soles. If I want to add a little pressure, I'll lean forward, or even rest my arms on my knees, and let gravity work. The two grooved area with the massage balls are great, so you can work with balls without them escaping. I have a massage ball with a different texture that is the same size, so I can really vary the workout on my feet. The mat is so thin, I can easily store it under my low-clearance chaise, except for the balls. I have to remember to put those away, or they become kitty toys.

    I think I need more time with this mat in order to appreciate all of the benefits. The mat is made of a sturdy plastic, and comes folded. One problem is that I have had trouble getting it to straighten out, as the fold has memory. It probably will flatten out over time as I continue to step on it. The directions state to start by using it for 30 seconds wearing thick socks. I would also recommend this, as it is quite painful to step on the pressure points with bare feet. I expect that tolerance builds over time. While stepping on the mat, my feet complained quite a bit, and I felt some tingling. The mat includes two orange balls which roll in tracks and can also be used for rolling under feet. I am sure that there are real benefits to be had by using this mat, and I plan to continue trying to convince my feet that I am not trying to hurt them by using it.
