- Reviewed in Canada on April 14, 2024Verified PurchaseFirstly, these gloves perform beautifully but the sizing is off.
I ordered large because my hands are a little smaller than large but too big for medium. What I discovered is that these gloves are a little too snug for me and I would rather have a little more room inside. If you normally wear large then buy the extra large.
The performance is wonderful though. The soft inner lining is so nice on the hands and totally protects you from hot or cold. I can wash dishes with 212F boiling water and it just feels warm to the hand. I can use them to clear my ice fishing holes and pull fish out and submersion in ice water does not even register cold.
They are super durable as well, neither work in the shop nor in the bush has caused a tear or leak in the outer shell.
My wife has been using them for dishes at the cottage and I think I will need to buy another pair for myself now.

- Reviewed in Canada on April 26, 2021Verified PurchaseExcellent for ice climbing. Kind of odd the price has doubled since the ice climbing community caught on to using simple work gloves over expensive climbing gloves ...

5.0 out of 5 stars These are the most useful gloves I've ever owned
Verified PurchaseThese are the most useful gloves I've ever owned. I've only had them for a week, but so far:
1. They have kept my hands totally warm, without a trace of chilliness, for periods up to 45 minutes in 20 degree (F) weather, and for 10-15 minutes in 8-10 degrees (haven't tried them for longer).
2. I've worn them using a shovel, hammer, maul, auto ice scraper, hand truck, pulling a sled, carrying buckets, loading and unloading the car, using a cordless drill and putting in screws... no problems. They have a secure grip, and have more dexterity and finger functionality than any ski glove or insulated leather work glove.
3. In 18 degree weather I used them to pull large chunks of ice out of a horse water trough, after breaking up a 3-4" ice layer on top with a maul. I didn't even feel the coldness of the ice or frigid water.
4. They don't get damp inside from perspiration, although I haven't worn them in temperatures above 40 degrees.
My hands usually get cold fairly easily, so these gloves have been a pleasure to use. I have other cold weather gloves but I find myself just reaching for these anytime I go out. It's amazing how warm they are, considering that they they are actually quite thin and flexible. I was surprised by this, as the product picture makes them look thick and inflexible.
In tailored gloves like leather driving gloves I wear a medium, but in generic work gloves a large usually fits me. The large size in this glove fit just fine. None of the fingers were too short or too long. They go on and come off quite easily. The long cuffs cover the ends of the sleeves of various jackets without bunching up, or being too tight or too loose.
I haven't tried other nitrile or rubber insulated gloves so I have nothing to compare them to. But after wearing these, I don't see why I would try any other glove.
The only thing I don't like about them is the strange rubbery grip and texture. It's not as pleasant as wearing leather gloves. But then, they are waterproof rubber gloves. It's a small thing I can gladly ignore since they are so warm and perfect in all other ways.
So far my gloves have not torn or been punctured, but I haven't used them for anything really rough. I imagine that if you were moving rocks or concrete pavers with them, they might get torn. I would wear other gloves for that. I also don't think they would hold up well to scooping up nails or screws. But picking up one screw at a time and using it has been fine.
I ordered 2 pairs for friends, and just ordered a 2nd pair for myself, to keep in the car for emergencies. I think these are great gloves for emergency kits or bug out bags.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect
Verified PurchaseI bought these just to fill up equipment in and keep diesel off my leather gloves, and they've turned out to be amazing work gloves generally. They're way more durable then you'd expect. The XL's are fine for basic use on my size hands but the L's actually allow me to tie knots and work with hand tools without removing my gloves. They're totally impervious to water and oil, have a grippy and flexible coating, and some insulation. They are not warm gloves, but they also somehow breathe. I wear the gauntlets under the cuffs of a waterproof coat when making snow and they still breathe. I'll take breezy hands over sweaty ones any day. I've snagged them on enough metal edges that they are starting to deteriorate but willl buy many more, they are a great value.

4.0 out of 5 stars Amazing gloves. Starts to stink after a bit of use.
Verified PurchaseI ordered these as a test pair for ice and mixed climbing. They overall are amazing even in -10F temps with a liner. The grip is trust worthy to me, although from a saftey standpoint I cannot recomend them. You would just have to figure out what is best for you. On another note: after several uses they begin to gather sweat and become slightly odiferous. I will continue to use these in specific conditions and use a small bood dryer to airate them faster. Nice work. Thank you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Remarkable gloves!
Verified PurchaseI saw Gordon on GP Outdoors (yt) recommend these, so I tried them out. Expensive, but really worth it. They are breathable, which is key for a waterproof glove, especially in the cold. They are incredibly durable, and held up all winter handling firewood, which wrecks most of my leather gloves. They're surprisingly warm too, and the liner doesn't pull out like others. I don't like the blue, and wish the one black version on 鶹 was the same glove (different fit and liner), but overall this is a great glove.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic
Verified PurchaseHaving worn these through a season, I have fallen in love with them. When I first bought these I thought they were a ripoff because they appear delicate, but they aren't. I wore them pretty hard, and ended up loosing them before they wore out. I'm buying a few pairs more. These gloves do three things really well: Stay dry, breath, fit perfectly. The water proof part was no surprise to me, but on top of that they are extremely breathable. I have sweaty hands usually, and typically a glove like this would end up wet for me even in dry weather. These gloves are always dry as a bone for me though, even after a long day of work. Incredible. On top of that, they are the best fitting gloves I have ever worn. In most gloves, the pinky finger is made way too long. Not with these. They fit is so perfectly that I can do delicate work with them on. I didn't think these would keep my fingers warm at first because the insulation isn't too warm, but I've found them to be warmer than expected. I think it's because they breath so well and stay dry. These gloves are worth $20 to me.
