I set this up at my cottage where cell reception is usually pretty unreliable, and it’s definitely improved things. Calls are clearer now and I get more consistent data, even when multiple people are using my phone’s hotspot.
Setup was fairly straightforward as there’s a video that walks you through it, which helped me a lot and it works well with Telus which made things a bit easier. I liked that the LED indicators made it easy to see if everything was working right. The range is good enough to cover the main areas we use, and I noticed a real difference in streaming and general connectivity. I was barely getting a good signal before installing this booster, now I can watch YouTube videos at 720p which is a big improvement for me.
One thing to note is that if your outdoor signal is basically nonexistent, it won’t create one, now if you have at least a faint signal outside, it does a good job of boosting it indoors. Has served me well so far and now I will have a decent internet connection when I am away at the cottage which is all I wanted.
