I had exactly the same one for 2-3 years but gave it to my mom a couple of months ago as I couldn¡¯t find one to buy for her. This one I found recently and it is exactly the same I had before except it is half shorter, which is ok for me. Open up the grind slot before removing the cap from the container. Do not over tighten the cap, it stays in place perfectly without applying force. If the slot cover and the slot itself do not meet - remove the cap and screw it on back again, try to match the slot and its cover. If the seeds do not grind and just sprinkle, check the metal screw on the cap, maybe it went loose. I use it for sesame only, nothing hard or sticky. I wash it in a dishwasher and air dry after. Not too often, just occasionally. Very good price compare to other options. Good enough to last a long time and does the job well. Satisfied.
I took a chance having never used one before. Grinding sesame was recommended in some sushi materials. Grind over complimentary foods right before eating, as with pepper. The ground sesame is aromatic and flavourful. I gently retoasted some sesame seeds that was sold as toasted. This grinder is plastic but feels solid. It grinds sesame quite well so far.

I use to grind my sesame seeds in a traditional bowl grinder and it was hard work. So I bought this as I saw it was used in one of the ramen places in Japan. The pros are it keeps all the bits of sesame seeds in its container and it grinds pretty well. Only thing is the cost. Should have purchased one in Japan.
