The compressor pistons on these are very good, quite large. deliver air in a good volume. The flexible air pipe is subject to considerable heat however and will degrade in time. Couple of years. The interference-fit plastic- inserted flexible pipe will need replacing, since the compressor will work well for many years i believe, judging from the strength of the mechanical design. Thus, to replace the flexible air-pipe, drill out the plastic hole left by the old pipe, to accommodate the new brass-threaded flexible air pipe, from �鶹��, and wind this new brass threaded pipe into the plastic hole one has drilled. The thread taps its own plastic thread and forms an air-tight coupling. Thus, one may continue to use this compressor for many years. Removal of a small amount of plastic shielding at the piston end, allows WD40 nozzle to lubricate said piston = LongLife.
I give this 4 stars due to the on/off function not working. The machine ran as soon as it was plugged to the 12Volt system, did not turn off as required. It was easy enough to connect an on/off switch to the compressor's power lead,close to the compressor body the switch attached to the useful handle. It works very well, pumps the tyres fine.
