Have not had this product long enough to know how it will stand up or how it will work in a variety of situations. For the simple things I have used it for (checking some batteries and checking continuity of some circuits) it has worked well.

My main reason for not giving it 5 stars is the annoying beep every time the selector control is moved. I would be happy if that "feature" did not exist at all. Or if it could be turned off. Apparently some owners have managed to muffle the beeper inside the case. I may do the same, but really why is it there? Serves no useful purpose.

Would be nice too if it came with a little zipper case like some others do. It would cost the manufacturer a few cents but if I am able to buy one that fits it is likely to be several dollars.

Works well. People complain about the beeping when turning the dial. It's no big deal. But when testing if there is current in a wire and where it is broken. The beeping sound isn't very loud. If you're on a job site or someone's making noise in the back. It would be hard to know when you do not have a connection when the beeping doesn't work. Other than that, it works very well. Nice size too.

I've been using this DM130B for over a year now and have been very satisfied. For voltage, resistance and capacitance readings, no need to worry about selecting the right scale, the measurements are fast and it shows you the appropriate units (mV, V, Ω, kΩ, μF, F, etc.) which makes it really easy to just read off the value. Current readings are a bit more involved as you have to select an appropriate scale and switch the red lead from INPUT to 10A if the current you're measuring is over 500mA (up to 10A).

The separate 1.5V, 9V and 12V settings haven't been really that useful to me except maybe the 1.5V setting since it uses a more granular scale (more decimal points) for more accurate reading of lower voltage values.

I've also had to deal with their customer service once and I was pleasantly surprised by the prompt response and resolution to my issue.

Display is large and easy to read. Backlight display is really bright. It has a "contact" voltage setting. Hold it to an outlet/switch or power cord and it will show bars if it detects power. Can test 120 volts, car battery or quickly all small battery sizes. Also has a beeper for test continuity/broken wires etc. . To me it has everything the "average joe homeowner" needs, is not overly complex and easy to understand settings. I thought about spending more, but after getting this for under $20 bucks, this was the best decision and best value. Does everything I will ever need with easy to read and understand settings. There are a lot of reviews on YT that show you have to use this model and shows it has good accuracy as well. I am happy with it.
