Remember there are 3 (6mm) screws and one 8mm (behind handle) to remove. Remove and unhook window plug. Door panel then just lifts straight up. Fit perfect and works perfect! Very pleased with product. You can repair the broken wires in the harness but you might have to do this again in a year as the 4 other wires are feeling just as much strain with the door opening and closing. Good luck!
Everything worked once I installed this new wiring harness. It was easy to install. The only thing was that it was a little loose fitting on the truck door frame. I sold the truck right after installing so maybe just required a little more time to have it fit snug. Otherwise it was good.
I bought my F150 used, and about a year ago the back door lock stopped working. I thought fixing it would be something for the mechanic, but I’ve stopped shying away from jobs like this (I’m a girl that’s learning to use tools) and this job was so easy! Just search YouTube and you’re good to go. This took me about an hour, no frustration at all (ok maybe a little). It turns out the wires were all cut from the door swishing them over time, had been fixed and wrapped at some point by the previous owner and came loose again. I fixed it right. And it felt awesome. Don’t hesitate, just do this job yourself.
