I was quite upset when I popped my newly acquired Home Alone VHS into my VCR and it immediately went haywire. The tape had looked fine, but it obviously had something wrong with it/had dust I couldn't see. I purchased this head cleaner tape that evening, and it arrived a couple of days later, popped it into my VCR for 30 seconds, if that, and my VCR is good as new. It can be re-used up to 30 times, so if I encounter this issue again, I can use this tape to fix it again. I think you can also take apart the VCR and clean the heads with q tips and rubbing alcohol, but this is a lot easier, and worked very well.
