I'm not sure why the birds and squirrels quit coming the same day I put these nuts out, but on inspecting them, there are quite a few nuts that look "burnt." You can see that in the picture. They do not smell, so do not think it's mold, but something about them does not appeal to the animals. They're well priced and the shipping was free, but the animals are just not interested in eating them. I'm not likely to buy this product again.

    We were going through peanuts like crazy due to the crows figuring out our schedule.

    Purchased a peanut wreath and put it on the flag pole.

    Only 1 crow has figured out how to hang on to the flag pole long enough to get a peanut. For the other crows, effort vs reward isn't high enough.

    Blue Jays have access to the peanuts through the day now.

    We bought these peanuts for our woodpecker feeder. When we filled it with these little goodies it was merely a few hours before the Downy Woodpeckers discovered them and crowded the feeder. They haven't left since and I am looking at two of them as I write this. An assortment of other birds love them, including cardinals. My only complaint is that the birds feed so voraciously that I have to order two bags at a time - and often.

    A great product that does exactly what it claims to do. Nice resealable bag too.
