A well encompassing, comprehensive, overview of the architects standard of care. I get that this is geared toward established architects and construction lawyers. But, for a student of architecture, this is a must-have. When I was in college, I had a Proffessional Practice course. Of course AIA contracts, codes, and CSI library were taught, but never anything about industry standards, ASTM, manufacturer's guidelines, warranties, etc., that are crucial knowledge to know heading into the profession as an architect to produce a comprehensiveset of drawings. This book covered it.

The expert who opined in hundreds of cases, including the landmark jury trial in Grandview I, shares his hard-earned experience, which is useful to lawyers, architects, and those who operate in the construction space. At the heart of the book is the key to understanding how the work of an architect will be judged during litigation.
