J'ai regardé la saison 1 quand elle est sortie en 2021 quelques jours après sa sortie et je n'en suis pas revenu de la qualité exceptionnelle de la série. L'histoire est réussi à la perfection. On s'attache énormément aux personnages (à certains du moins) et leurs relations sont vraiment un des points majeurs de la série. Chaque arc narratif (3 épisodes) termine par un final qui, chaque fois, arrive à nous faire ressentir des émotions grâce à la construction de l'histoire et l'évolution des liens relationnels entre les personnages. En le recevant, j'ai décidé de regarder de nouveau la série pour la saison 2 qui arrive bientôt, car je ne me souvenais plus de tout. J'ai je pense encore plus aimé la série lors de mon deuxième visionnage, car le fait de connaître certains détails futurs m'ont permis de mieux comprendre certaines choses, qui au début ne semblait pas avoir la même importance. Je n'ai pas mentionné le style visuel et auditif (musiques et sons) de la série qui sont eux aussi exceptionnel. Fortiche a apporté son style propre et cela rajoute beaucoup à l'ensemble.     I've already viewed ARCANE on NetFlix multiple times and can confidently say that is a masterpiece in storytelling, character development and stunning visuals. However, after having received my copy of the 4K Steelbook edition and loaded it up for the first time, I was immediately blown away.

    This, right here, is how you get the most out of ARCANE. The sound, the colors, the lighting and detail are so rich, the fact that it took 3+ years to get a physical release was well worth the wait. As with the dramatic payoffs throughout the season, this is stellar. Another great thing about ARCANE is the art style is very unique, almost like watercolor paintings come to life so it will never feel dated. You can watch old PIXAR and Dreamworks films and instantly recognize they are products of their time. Not so with ARCANE. This story is devastatingly beautiful and timeless.

    I don't play League of Legends and don't intend, which makes ARCANE's existence and as excellent as it is, strangely ironic. It's undeniably an advert for League of Legends but there's so much talent and passion put into ARCANE, it is a bit of an anomaly. The fact that it is based off of a free-to-play MOBA game actually works against it as I've had difficulty convincing my friends to watch ARCANE as their minds immediately go-to 'League of Legends', which they also have no desire to play.

    For any fan of animation and quality entertainment in general, ARCANE in 4k is a must.
