How to Use Aquatabs

1. Fill your water storage container of choice.

2. Drop in your tablet(s) following the dosage information provided on the packaging.

3. Agitate the solution by shaking your container or stirring to ensure the tablet has fully dissolved.

4. Wait 30 minutes as Aquatabs eliminate harmful microorganisms and purify your water.

5. Enjoy safe drinking water, without the unpleasant taste and odour of other treatment processes.

Ensuring Proper Dosage

For optimum results, always follow this guide. Observe that the dosage amount may vary depending on water clarity. Turbid water may require filtration and result in a lower volume of water treated per tablet. Always wait 30 minutes for the water purification process to take place, before hydrating.

How do Aquatabs water purification tablets work?

Aquatabs contain a measured dose of Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC). When added to water, Aquatabs dissolve to release a measured dose of hypochlorous acid (free chlorine), a universally recognized safe and effective water disinfectant.
Are Aquatabs certified?

Yes, Aquatabs are certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 60. The active ingredient, NaDCC, has also been approved by the US EPA.
Do Aquatabs contain Iodine or Chlorites?

No, Aquatabs are Iodine and chlorite-free. Iodine can affect thyroid function, trigger allergies, and leave a bad taste. Chlorites can cause off-flavours, stomach irritation, and GI issues.
What contaminants do Aquatabs remove?

Aquatabs are effective against Bacteria, Viruses, and Giardia cysts but not Cryptosporidium cysts. If Cryptosporidium is a suspect, prefilter to 1-micron absolute before treatment. Most pump/gravity filters remove cysts/bacteria, but not viruses.
What is the shelf life of Aquatabs?

Aquatabs have a 5-year shelf life from the date of manufacture, printed on each foil strip of tablets as EXP: MONTH/YEAR. When purchased from Canadian distributor Branch Point Inc., you’ll typically receive stock with ~4.5 years remaining.
