    The insulation on my Apple power cords always seems to eventually fail near the ends; I assume the new “woven” aspect will improve the durability. I was going to buy a different brand with a thicker cord until I saw the woven bit. I feel it’s safer to buy Apple — I have an off-brand cord that has a little bit fatter or tighter connector, and I think it may have led to early failure of my iPad socket.

    I'm addicted to ordering these new cables from Apple. I hate that they seems to be the only company that manages to make cables that wrap and store flat without memory of the last thing they were wrapped around. If you want a cheap USB-C charging cable, you probably don't want this. However, if you appreciate a quality cable that stores nicely every time, this in the one to get.
