I typically review products after using them a while for a real review. I have multiple ergonomic mice like the costly evoluent wirless mouse and microsoft sculpt. The evoluent is bulky and tracks like a blind old person. They mouse does not work on so many surfaces that you basically end up not using it. The ergonomics on that mouse are the best though. Then comes the microsoft sculpt that comes as a package with the sculpt keyboard. Its a very well designed and the materials used are excellent. It takes a while to get used to because if you use it the wrong way it is just as bad as a normal mouse. You have to remember not to twist the wrist when using it. The bad was that it tracked fast but only on non shiny matte surfaces. Foe the price we pay for the mouse the laser tracking should have been of higher dpi. Over the holidays I forgot the sculpt in a meeting room and I thought I lost it.

So i looked to buy a replacement and the cost for the mouse only was equal tothe price I had originally paid for the sculpt keyboard and mouse. So I started to look for options and found the Anker that I had avoided a year ago when selecting a replacement for the evoluent simply because I thought that a ergonomic mouse at less that twenty four bucks must be crap.

when I opened the package I picked up the mouse and thought to my self this is way to light. Then I added the batteries and it was just the perfect weight.

Then I tried to use the mouse on muliple surfaces that the sculpt and evoluent failed to work on. I was so happy that this mouse even tracked on glass and did it very well.

The other good thing was that if the mouse recognized that it was not being used it would go into a power saving mode. The more expensive mice didnt have this feature. Just left click and it came back to life. This is a great feature.

It takes time to get used to the right click button due to the placement and size of the button. I have big hands and I use the index finger for left click and middle finger for right click. And the index to scroll. I have got used to it now. The sculpt was a easier learning curve.

One improvement they could make is extend the base on the right bottom of the mouse to allow the right part of the palm to rest instead of it constantly rubbing on the tracking surface. This would make the mouse a bit bulky at the bottom but will improve user experience a lot.

All in all it is an excellent mouse for the price and rivals and trumps the more expensive ergonomic mice out there. It has multiple buttons and feels like you are holding a futuristic device.

My final verdict is it gets 5 stars and it the best performance and buy out there.

I've seen vertical mice being used before and have heard some good comments about them. However, I really didn't want to spend the bucks to try one out as I already use the Logitech MX series ones (I own all 3 models). In seeing the Anker one though, I figured it was worth the gamble to try it. From a function point of view, the angle is good and it is very ergonomic. I have small-medium sized hands. Having a dedicated receiver was a surprise in the light of Bluetooth but not a deal breaker. I like that it was labelled as well. I have several BT dongles on my docking station already. I had to adjust settings to get it configured but that was expected. It didn't come with batteries but that's also fine as I use rechargeable ones anyway. Typical to Anker, this has a very well made feel about it.

Are there any faults? The only one so far, is the finish. IF you have dry hands, and I do, it's almost too slippery to handle and requires a bit more attention. Is it a deal breaker? No. It was easy to set up and configure (Windows 11) - plug in the dongle and it simply worked.

Bottom line here is that for the price, it's worth a try to see if this for you. For me, I've been using it for just under a week and so far liking it.

First of all, this ergonomic mouse feels much better than my Logitech Performance MX ($99!), which stopped tracking well. Moreover, for $30 I think it's worthwhile investment for your wrist health.

Now, if you're researching for cheap ergonomic mice, you would've inevitably considering this product and the Perixx PERIMICE-713, Wireless Ergonomic Vertical Mouse - Nano Receiver - 1000/1500/2000 DPI - On/Off Power Switch - Natural Ergonomic Vertical Design - Recommended with RSI User. I bought both since my wife and I needed new mice and I wanted to see if there was any difference. Right now, the Perixx is on sale for 17.99 on �鶹��, although at the regular price both are priced at $29.99.

I am going to assess both in this review, and may update this based on usage over time. Also, I just got these mice today, so these are just first impressions.

Physical design:

They are EXACTLY the same mice from the external design. Not sure if their internals are different, but the on/off switch, the buttons, scroll wheel, usb adapter, usb adapter storage are the same. The main physical differences are that the Anker has a soft matte finish all over including while the Perixx has glossy left/right buttons. Also, the Anker has a blue LED that flashes when you connect the mouse, while the Perix has red.

I would say I have medium size hands and the mouse fits perfectly. My wife, who has smaller hands, doesn't seem to have any issues with the fit. They both feel better to use than regular mice, and I would definitely recommend trying them out if you have some RSI issues.

IMO, I think the Anker's matte finish looks better than the Perixx's matte and glossy finish. We will have to see how this changes over time.

Packaging:

The Anker comes in nicer packaging as another reviewer noted, and has better/clearer instructions. I would argue the packaging is also more bulky, but the instructions are much better than the Perixx (they explain how the DPI button works, etc.). The Perixx comes in very minimalist packaging and and very few instructions. However, the Perixx does come with 2xAAA batteries so you can use your mouse right away...Anker DOES NOT.

Performance:

I haven't used both mice long enough to assess performance or battery life. From my initial impressions, they both perform about the same (also much better than our old Logitech mice). However, I did notice that the Anker did not work well on a gaming mouse pad. I just took it out and the mouse works fine. I will need to investigate this further. However, I do believe that Anker has a better advertised warranty.

There is a DPI difference between the 2 mice, but I am not a big gamer and I honestly couldn't tell the difference in regular use.

Overall:

From this initial impressions looking at performance vs. value, I would recommend getting the Perixx over the Anker. They both look and perform exactly the same, but the Perixx is cheaper and comes with batteries - better value. The wildcard is battery life which is hard to assess right now.

That being said, the price difference between the Perixx and Anker is only $12, and I do like the like a full matte finish of the Anker, security of warranty, better instructions, then I don't think it's a huge splurge for the Anker. If the Anker was priced the same as the Perixx AND/OR came with 2xAAA batteris, than I would give it 5 stars and a definite recommendation from my initial impressions.

Update (Jan. 15, 2015):

Now that I have used both mice for almost an year, I would select the Anker mouse over the Perixx. The matte finish of the Anker seems to age better over the glossy one of Perixx. These are minor quibbles, but more importantly, the price of the Perixx is now more than the Anker one.
