I absolutely love this mouse - it is extremely comfortable to use, increases the ease of some programs and lasts a long time. I've used one model for personal use for the past 5 years and purchased another one for my office computer.

Aside from the left and right buttons, there is are additional buttons that increase the versatility and usability of this mouse. One button is to increase the DPI of the mouse (cursor speed), and the other two act as the back/forward page buttons. I love these features and find them very beneficial for working in an office environment, digital publishing and general web browsing. I don't think these would really impact gaming more than it does for basic computing.

I have used this mouse on both a Mac and Windows systems and believe it works better with Windows. On Mac, there is an inconsistency with the mouse disconnecting for some reason upon sign out & locked screen (even with it being corded), and I am constantly unplugging it and plugging it back in to get it to work. The back/forward buttons are not responsive on the Safari browser, however, the mickey speed button does work.

If you purchase this mouse, Windows is the best system for this mouse and will increase productivity and computing comfortability.

Purchased this because of the ergonomics due to some pain in my wrist. The way this is held is great - keeps my arm and wrist at a more natural resting spot and encourages moving the mouse with my arm rotating at the elbow rather than at my wrist. Takes some getting used to at first but that came within about an hour for me.

The materials look and feel great. It has this smooth texture to it that so far appears to resist oils and fingerprints. The white swoop on the thumb side actually lights up red which I thought was a nice touch. The clicks of the buttons all have the right amount of resistance and isn't too loud. Pressing the mouse wheel in isn't difficult though you might find you need to apply a little counter pressure with your thumb from the other side to avoid moving the mouse slightly. This would be part of the vertical mouse design in general, and not Anker specific.

I have larger hands and holding the mouse is comfortable. The end of my thumb rests just under the Back button and doesn't take a lot of movement up to press it. The forward button is a little bit of a stretch and requires me to slightly adjust my hand to use but I feel this avoids accidentally pressing forward instead of back, so bonus. My index and middle fingers rest on the main buttons and my ring finger rests on the small space under the right button which is very comfortable. My pinky finger rests against the desk and provides support for my hand.

DPI button is up and out of the way but within reach of my thumb if i bring it up over the top. It works as described - a single click and your mouse is much more sensitive suddenly and can move quicker across the screen. Click it again and it goes back to the speed you set in windows.

No drivers or software needed for the mouse to function as designed. Its simply plug and play.

Overall this mouse is fantastic at this price point and great value. I'd have no problem suggesting it to anyone out there looking for a vertical mouse to alleviate wrist pain.

As far as budget mice go this is a pretty nice one. It feels solid, the buttons have a nice click, it does everything you'd expect a mouse to do and looks awesome while doing it. The blue LED on the side is pretty neat and isn't obnoxiously bright. The idea of this mouse is to give your hand a more comfortable position to relieve strain on your muscles. It certainly feels nice to hold, and puts your wrist at about a 45 degree angle where other mice would have it totally flat. It's not as extreme of an adjustment as some other vertical mice, which I think is a comfortable change. It takes a few days to get used to the movement but after that there's hardly a difference in control from regular mice. There's also a perfect amount of space below the buttons to rest your other fingers, so no part of your hand is sliding around on the desk.

Taking a look at the extra features, it's got a button on the top to quickly switch the DPI from 1000 to 1600. This can be handy for minimizing how much you're moving your hand around, and also gives the option turn it down for a little more precision. on the thumb side there's also forward and back buttons for the browser. These can be a little awkward to reach depending on the position of your hand. None of these extra buttons can be customized for other functions.

I had a few minor issues with this mouse. One odd but not really negative thing I noticed was the coating on the material can leave an odd feeling on your skin during the first day or two of use. It just feels a little rubbery but it eventually goes away with use. Other than that the only real gripe I have (as I've noticed many others have) is with the scroll wheel. It's a very average scroll wheel. It scrolls, it clicks down, and it makes soft clicks when you scroll as well. One odd thing I noticed is it's at a slight angle from the buttons around it. The inward click also required pressing from the side a bit instead of straight in. After three days of use I encountered the same problem many people have, which is with the scrolling itself. Every so often when the wheel clicks, the page will scroll down, then jump back up a notch. When you're scrolling a large distance you don't really notice, but if you're only moving a bit or say, changing weapons or tools in a game, you'll definitely notice.

Overall it's a good mouse, it's quite comfortable to hold and will probably be easier on your muscles than a regular mouse. However, if a quality scroll wheel is important to you, I suggest you look into something else.
